Trail Life USA

Post by Right2Carry »

Not really sure where to post this so I will post in off topic. For those who unhappy with this years decision by BSA in regards to allowing homosexuality to be displayed openly there is a new organazation that is starting up that will be in need of lots of help.

Trail Life USA will be a Christian based outdoors organization that will help turn young boys into young men.

Please read about the alternative to the Boy Scouts and know that we can stand by our convictions and teachings without compromising our moral values. The statement of faith that each adult member must sign is refreshing.

To be clear, I think the Boy Scouts were pushed into an unwinnable situation due to the size of their organization and because left-wing activist groups want to make a statement. Conservative parents didn't want gay scout leaders (or flamboyantly gay scouts, or scouts that dressed as girls). If the BSA fought back, they would be sued out of existence - THIS is the real shame of the situation.

Trail Life USA is taking a slightly different approach, by chartering the organization up-front to exclude exactly what the Boy Scouts couldn't do.
Trail Life USA will be inclusive of boys, regardless of religion, race, national origin or socioeconomic status, and accept boys who are experiencing same-sex attractions or gender confusion.

However, it will not admit youth who are open or avowed about their homosexuality, and it will not admit boys who are not “biologically male” or boys who wish to dress and act like girls.
Frankly, I think Trail Life is going to turn into the same type of lightning rod if they get big enough.

One wonders why the Girl Scouts don't have this same kind of problem.

there is a fairly popular Christian organization for the girls already...and GSA has never hidden their connection to Planned Parenthood, most strong christian families already choose one of the other alternatives for the girls.

The Boy Scouts won their court case at the Supreme Court level, and IMHO they caved this year because they valued donations over their moral convictions.

Next week the American Heritage Girls will be celebrating 18 years since they split off from the Girl Scouts for the very same reason Scout Leaders are leaving BSA and forming Trail Life USA.

Some things are not worth compromising. If we want our boys and girls to grow up to be leaders we need to set an example that our principles, values, and morals are important. I don't think I left BSA, BSA left me when they decided that they would put money over values.

The American Heritage Girls also disassociated themselves from BSA and now support Trail Life USA. It is my opinion that BSA was infiltrated at the highest level because they reaffirmed the no "openly" gay policy in 2012, only to change it in 2013. The BSA won a Supreme Court decision allowing them to keep openly gay leaders and Scouts out.

What Trail Life USA has done is what the gays should have done, instead of tearing down an organazation and bending it to your views, start your own. Trail Life USA wants to honor the legacy while raising the Standard of Scouting.

Mike Huckabee was the keynote speaker at the first convention this weekend. He gave a powerful speech. Scouting should not be about politics or flaunting your sexual preference, it should be about growing boys into fine upstanding Christian men who attain leadership, character, and a value system that guides them through life.

BSA has lost it's way and is headed down a dark path with more lawsuits on the horizon now that gay scouts are allowed but not leaders. IMHO they will lose that battle or just change the policy again as corporations continue to withhold donations in order to influence and control BSA policy.

It won't be long before the Athiest have their way as well.

I implore everyone to learn about the American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA if you want an alternative to Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts.
