For my wife and I - Me finding a job

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

I wanted to thank you all for your care and concern. It really lifted my heart to see your responses

It means a lot to me; even though I don't share the same religious background as many folks here (being Jewish) I feel a unique kind of kinship with you folks, and many Texans in general. It might seem like a small thing, but it's a big difference I've noticed since moving from California several years ago.

I've got a couple leads that could turn out to be promising. Here's hoping that some collective prayers and some perseverance and hard work will get me where I need to be.

Thanks again, ya'all. [/u]

I hope that one of your leads works out.

As far as religious beliefs, I have always thought that the power of prayer is better than anything else that can be done. If you have this many people praying for you, even in their own religion, that is a lot of people that care about you and your well being. Therfore, you are truly blessed, no matter what your religion.

Again, good luck to you.

I somehow missed this before, but you're now on our prayer list, too, Nitro.

Well, I have a decent lead on a job at a company called Sungard. I've got an upcoming HR type interview, then one with the hiring manager in the next couple days.

I'll keep you all updated. Thanks everyone!

The HR-type interview at Sungard went well. I've also had 2 interviews (technical and sales-ish) for another company, that have also gone very well.

I've got leads on a few other things as well, but none of them are things i'd enjoy doing.

I'd like to thank you all for keeping me and my wife in your prayers; suddenly this week activity on the job front exploded with activity, so it seems like He's heard everyone, so thank you VERY much.

Nitrogen, thank you for letting us know so that we can thank God as well.
