I wasn't really there. I was just messing with Andy after seeing him post up that he missed some of the nicks. :biggrinjester:

WOW! I guess they did not use that as a sniper rifle. Wait, isn't that what Vasily Zaytsev used? How did he keep that concealed?

Had a great time meeting everyone. RX8R, TBM, and Moby did a great job getting this organized. I really hope we don't wait a year before doing it again.

I'd also like to give a special thanks to AndyC for taking the time to teach me to shoot skeet. It's a very fun game and I'm going to try to make time to go out there more often.

I got an extra bonus by coming up to the DFW Meet. In addition to the great time I had at the get together I got another real treat. We were supposed to leave today, but it worked out we could stay another day. Everytime we come up we always seem to have too much planned to do and too little time. I'd been wanting to have a father-daughter day for ever (yes you can still do that after they're married) and it worked out nicely to be here with no agenda. They live a stone's throw from Alpine Shooting Range and since I had several pistols with me we decided to go shooting while Marmie Kat stayed with the grandaughters. Got to Alpine around 4PM and she got to shoot the Buckmark, K-22, Ruger Super Single Six and the SW9F FedEx delivered from S&W repair service the morning we left to come up. I had a .22 rifle too but we ran out of time. We shot at the 50ft Pistol bays with mostly .22LR. She should have been a Cowgirl 'cause she was on top of the eight inch yellow circle with a 4 inch red bull target I put up. 20 shots in 4"x3" spread. :thumbs2: She did well with the other two as well but the single action Ruger seems to be perfect for her. Her previous experience was at her husband's grandparent's farm in Arkansas shooting at trees with his XDm. From now on we're going to put shooting on the schedule of events when we visit. It has been a great weekend and now week up here!

You are now her favorite person in the whole wide world! But I'm not so sure what level you are on my opinion poll :grumble . You know of course I'm kidding....'bout me not her!

It was a great pleasure re-meeting those from prior get togethers, and meeting those fortunate enough to attend for the first time. The chili was great, all the sausage was awesome (wife and father scarfed a bunch down as soon as I got home). Everyone was wonderful! :cheers2: :fire

Wish I could have made it, however unemployment has cut into all things fun. Hopefully by the next one I can make it again the first 2 we had at the Fork were great. All the people I have met from this board are great, polite, knowledgeable and care deeply for this country and the rights of all of us.

The knowledge of history, sociology, political insights, as well as firearm knowledge and the senses of humour keep me sane and smarter than when I first found this board a number of years ago. Any time you can make a meet with any on this board do it.
