Oversampling a particular demographic would indeed affect a poll's predictive value. Of course, you neglected to provide any credible evidence that the majority of polls are oversampling. I'm so old that I remember people clinging to the same delusional belief in 2012. Romney himself on election night still believed he was going to win because he clung to the "unskewed" polls. And speaking of Romney, he won Texas by +16. Trump is currently polling at +4 in Texas.
In any case, let's reconvene on November 9th to assess how (in)accurate the polls turned out to be.

Looks like I slightly missed my initial diagnosis. You suffer from a pathological need to always be right, and appear to be a highly functional individual. My revised diagnosis is for "narcissistic personality disorder" and thank you for providing the necessary objective evidences!

Evedence of the sampling being off is in the details of the poll! Plain data right there! Also Romney supportes were not afraid of being labeled a racist or sexist! Your telling me that in a given week 10% of people flip flop from trump to clinton and back to trump? Naaaa.....

If your polls are so accurate and reliable, let's save the money and avoid the headache by just doing doing a poll to determine the next president.

I haven't jumped on any smear bandwagon. My opinion of Trump is based entirely on his own statements, actions and admitted actions.
When Trump was doing better in the polls he and his surrogates claimed they didn't need the #NeverTrump crowd to win against Hillary. So by his own words his upcoming loss cannot be blamed on those who did not rally behind his
incompetent campaign.
mojo84 wrote:Let me ask you this. What exactly are you trying to accomplish by publicly bashing Trump at this point?
To bring certain people back to reality (the one where Trump is only +4 in Texas) so that they'll be less shocked on Nov 8th and have a better understanding of why Trump lost, so we can avoid a repeat of this fiasco in the next election.

Actually (
in my opinion) that is a photo two sexual predators and a felonious traitor, but, that is
my perception.

At this point, this topic has gone from Trump vs. Clinton poll, to bash/smear Trump relentlessly.

While we are arguing and fighting among ourselves, the progressives are united and working toward getting their candidate elected. There's no chance a republican will win the white house with the horsepower and united front the progressives have.
Check this out. Notice some of the names mentioned and then realize this one organization has over a 100 billionaires and multi-millionaires that are members of Soros organization, Democracy Alliance. So much for the republican party being the party of the rich. Reading the entire article will give you a better idea of who's involved and how powerful they are in politics.

Summary: Stephen M. Silberstein, a member of George Soros’s far-left Democracy Alliance, sheds light on the extent of Soros’s socialist agenda for America. Silberstein’s foundation backs a panoply of leftist groups that fight for higher taxes on the rich, wealth redistribution schemes, single-payer socialized medicine, burdensome regulation of energy markets, judicial activism designed to advance a radically egalitarian agenda, and the replacement of the linchpin of federalism, the Electoral College, with a national popular vote. George Soros’s secretive donor consortium, the Democracy Alliance, has been making news lately in the wake of a new plan set forth at its four-day conference entitled “A New Progressive Era?” which took place in Chicago at the end of April 2014. According to the Washington Post, “The plan, being crafted in private by a group of about 100 donors that includes billionaire hedge fund manager George Soros and San Francisco venture capitalist Rob McKay, seeks to give Democrats a stronger hand in the redrawing of district lines for state legislatures and the U.S. House.” More specifically, the newspaper reports that “keeping Democratic control of the Senate” was of paramount concern to the donors. “There’s a lot of anxiety about the midterms,” admitted McKay, the outgoing chairman, “who said substantial investment this year will go to local and state minimum-wage campaigns that can help drive turnout for federal races.” The new plan would shift significant resources away from the Alliance’s typical focus on donating to left-wing media outlets and think tanks, such as Media Matters for America and the John Podesta-founded Center for American Progress. Assuming the reported shift occurs, the Alliance will try to engage in ground-level political campaigning by in effect acting as a bundling super PAC—an über super PAC—in order to prevent the expected GOP takeover of the Senate.

Great job on doing research and trying to demonstrate what's going on here.
Those who still beat the same drum and continue to smear Trump right now are either heavily medicated, are receiving some kind of kickback from the fascist machine, are playing for the other side, or all of the above.
By definition, you cannot reason with unreasonable people.

You forgot to mention the possibility that a certain individual may suffer from "Borderline Personality Disorder".
Also, polls that sample predominately hard core Democrats could possibly exhibit some inherent bias, but that would never occur to our friend. He is a legend in his own mind apparently.
The polls should be biased based on % of likely voters who identify with either political party and are currently unemployed. #AINTGOTTIMETOTAKEYOURPOLL

In the meantime, we are, in my opinion, very near WWIII.

And I vividly recall the Friday before the 1980 election when the media and their polls said the election would be a "real horse race." Carter was crushed in a defeat second only to Goldwater in 1964.

That was the first election I voted in and I proudly voted for President Reagan. I got to take my grandfather, who was blind from having worked on the railroad and getting ash in his eyes, down to the polling station to vote. We both proudly voted for President Reagan. That was a great day and one I remember well.
