Cory and De la Riondo the prosecutors? Sure, they are willing to take unethical and probably illegal steps in the vein of Mike Nifong (Duke Lacrosse Fake Rape Case prosecutor).

In that case as well, many people thought that no matter the evidence the Duke students would be sacrificed.

But Nifong lost his job, was disbarred, and even went to jail (for 1 day) due to his malfeasance.

FYI: He has reported back to jail as of right now (Sunday afternoon).

That's true. There's no meaningful evidence the shooting was anything but self defense. There's a lot of evidence the persecutor lied under oath to railroad Zimmerman. But some people have speculated so much that they can't back down without losing face. Maybe some of them even believe their own lies by now.

I hope the judge looks at the facts and does the right thing, not the easy thing.

I read through the transcripts, and I smell a skunk. In the April bond hearing Shelly Zimmerman was asked if she knew how much was in the account, and she said she didn't. She was then asked if she knew who did, and she answered that George's brother knew. She also said they could probably reach him by phone. The prosecutor choose not to pursue it. Since they had the tapes of the jail phone conversations before the bond hearing, they had to know what they thought was going on. (I personally don't believe that the Zimmerman's were speaking in code, as the prosecutors claim. I've read the transcripts several times, and I don't see it.) That means that the prosecutors setup this trap knowing full well what they thought was going on, and chose to do it in such a way that it would make Zimmerman appear dishonest.

Think about it. The case against Zimmerman isn't going to hinge on the evidence. It's going to hinge on Zimmerman's credibility. So the prosecutors are working hard to undermine George's credibility in any way they can. The next hearing will be very interesting, because O'Mara will be prepared and able to question both the prosecutor's claims as well as asking George what that conversation was really about.

Bingo!!! our grandfathers, fresh back from WWII, would get together and show up at the courthouse...and without raising a voice, get the attention of the elected/appointed officials...instead of sitting home grumbling with the remote in one hand and a beer in the other...

(the above was in response to an excellent comment by Hillfighter, which has gone away...)

If you're talking about Athens Tennessee, they used firearms at the courthouse instead of raised voices to get those officials' attention. The officials in question suddenly remembered urgent business elsewhere.

State Prosecutor Corey threatens Harvard and Dershowitz with a lawsuit, Fox News reported. I'm sure Alan Dershowitz would just love it if she did! "rlol"

Her actions indicate that she is either too stupid even to be an attorney, or she's dishonest, and thus, has no business being a prosecutor.

I think she has a good case if she uses the "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire" defense. "rlol"

That'd be right up there with "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit"!

In her motion to revoke his bail, Corey argued that Zimmerman “intentionally deceived the court” by making “false representations.” The same can be said about prosecutor Corey.
The right and just thing is for Corey to be held without bail until the trial. If the judge won''t do it, some rednecks from the Everglades should. :evil2:
