I was stationed in Saudi Arabia while in the Air Force and we rode motorcycles in the sand dunes every weekend. Well, I had never ridden a motorcycle before, so I spent more time upside down that rightside up, ergo, "Crash."

Growing up in Texas I wore boots all the time and the other kids called me a clod-kicker which progressed to red-neck and somehow when it got to "Bufford", well - it just kinda stuck.

bagman was my nickname through my younger years (kind a "beastardization" of my last name, since every athlete HAS to have a nickname); 45 is for my favorite caliber - the 45 acp as fired from the JMB masterpiece 1911 platform (just when I feel like I have too many of those bad boys, I seem to find a couple more I can't live without)

I was in a member of a international guitar forum in the mid 90s. Since I was from Dallas, they started calling me that.
BTW, My nickname has been Dallas ever since.

Not much imagination here. "LongDog" is in honor of my late weiner dog. He was long with short feet.

Most of my user names originate from the memory of this dog or another.

I'm a big fan of quarter horse racing and ever so often I campaign one of my own. One horse that I didn't own but really liked was named Check on Chico. Thought the name was pretty cool and decided to adopt it. :)

Firefighter here, most people run from fire we run to it and then there are those of us that dive right in, offensive fire fighting is a rush; not the typical surround and drown. Plus its a spin off from a smokedivers class I attended.
