checked mine and wife's before bed last night and still processing... Checked this morning at 7:00 and hers has those glorious words "certificate issued license active".. Still waiting on mine.. Hopefully soon!!

A wally walk is on the books (when I get time either monday afternoon or tuesday). Need to find my camera for the photo documentation!

Finally got around to emailing for my pin # emailed them at 12:30 and I had a response within a hour. At least the dps is fast at something. I checked th status on my phone at work and I saw the horrible news " still processing ". I know I'm close to completion cause the security guard at work sent his in a week before me and his has been in the issued phase since yesterday. The wait is killing me!

If you've been following any of my posts, you may know that I had a hiccup in my background. but I was fully prepared, and sent in all paperwork with my application, to get it approved on the first run.. Well this morning, I emailed the famous "Rene" for a true update, instead of the usual "still processing" you get on the website..
Here's what I sent:
Can you please give me a status update on my application? I know it still shows processing online - but I was hoping you can give me a few more details than that? My wife sent hers in same day and license was issued this past weekend.

Her response:
The application has been sent to our legal department for further review. You should receive a letter within 30 days regarding your application.

My reply:
Should I assume that there is a problem with my application ? I know that there was an arrest in my background. But I sent in full disposition (certified copies from District Clerk) paperwork with my application, showing the case was set aside.

her latest reply:
I would not say there is a problem per say. It would just need to be reviewed a little further.

my reply:
okay... thanks .. You message about receiving a letter within 30 days just worried me a little bit.

I sure hope things get cleared up quickly..
From some of the posts I've read, their legal review team doesn't necessarily practice the laws that were enacted last year about deferred adjudications being set aside, vacated, etc.. With the wife getting hers, my patience went thru the floor, and anxiety went thru the roof!! LOL

Emailed the state again today because I thought that today was day 35 since mailing our packets, and I just wanted to make sure there was nothing in particular holding us up. The state kindly emailed back, "Application is near completion. Thank you for your continued patience." I then realized that it really was only day 30 since Feb only had 28 days and I didn't mail off the packets until Feb 23rd. LOL! Little anxious I guess.

I'm getting impatient. i emailed them on Monday and they answered me "The license is being printed. You should receive it within 1-2 weeks." but my web site status still says "Processing Application." I ordered a holster as soon as I got that email but I think thats going to come in before the actual CHL.

Wierd. My status changed when I was approved. I recieved it like 3 days later. Hopefully it won't take 2 weeks.
