Quick, document how much practice I've had.jimlongley wrote:There were no reported instances of him taking any target practice with a mail order rifle, with mail order surplus ammo, none.
Because it's not possible to find a few redneck buddies who'll take you out of town to plink?Of course, this being Texas he may have just driven out into the country and shot it, but wait, he didn't have a driver's license did he?
Not germain, I don't know you, but I'll bet people who do could. And besides, we have had decades, nothing quick about it.KD5NRH wrote:Quick, document how much practice I've had.jimlongley wrote:There were no reported instances of him taking any target practice with a mail order rifle, with mail order surplus ammo, none.
And not one of them stepped up to say he had taken Oswald out to plink?KD5NRH wrote:Because it's not possible to find a few redneck buddies who'll take you out of town to plink?Of course, this being Texas he may have just driven out into the country and shot it, but wait, he didn't have a driver's license did he?
Who would admit to that?jimlongley wrote:And not one of them stepped up to say he had taken Oswald out to plink?
Any of the numerous people who spoke of their relationships with him.threoh8 wrote:Who would admit to that?jimlongley wrote:And not one of them stepped up to say he had taken Oswald out to plink?
Not really. Most of my practice has been on private property or at ranges where I paid cash. Not likely the range folks would remember my face after a month or two.jimlongley wrote:Not germain, I don't know you, but I'll bet people who do could.
"Dang Bubba, that city slicker we took on them squirrel hunts done shot the President. We better fess up t' bein' his teachers so's we can get famous."KD5NRH wrote:And not one of them stepped up to say he had taken Oswald out to plink?
So you have never shot with someone who knows you?KD5NRH wrote:Not really. Most of my practice has been on private property or at ranges where I paid cash. And dropping down to that level is not honest discussion.KD5NRH wrote:"Dang Bubba, that city slicker we took on them squirrel hunts done shot the President. We better fess up t' bein' his teachers so's we can get famous."
Oswald did practice at least once on a live target, Maj. General Edwin Walker. Since it was seven month's prior to JFK's death it could be they pre-planted the evidence for later use. Better yet may be Maj. General Walker was in on it with Oswald since he and the Kennedy's didn't exactly see eye to eye. Attorney General Robert Kennedy issued a warrant for Walker's arrest on the charges of seditious conspiracy, insurrection, and rebellion in 1961. Yeah! that's it ! The General had Oswald fake the attempt on him so he wouldn't be implicated just in case they caught the general on the grassy knoll after HE fired the fatal shot! And, as the article pointed out, he "missed by inches" on a non-moving target from a better shooting position at a similar range.puma guy wrote:Oswald did practice at least once on a live target, Maj. General Edwin Walker. Per Handbook of Texas History.
