Oh well I guess that I am not in the system yet.

I think that the people there are taught to tell everyone to hurry up and wait. Must be part of the new hire oreintation. Part of the mandatory training if you will.

First Day: Benefits and told how to puch the time card
Second Day: Introduced to your team lead and shown where your desk will be. Then watch a series of videos to satify HR
Next two weeks: Learn how to tell CHL Applicants how to hurry up and wait for the system to update.
Day 15: Tell the first poor schmuck... HURRY UP AND WAIT! next caller hears= We will update the system soon... then the subsequent few= check back friday... wait 5 days... We sent it to the department that handles that and they said its under review.

Mine updated overnight! License Status is completely blank, but everything else is finally there and has a green checkmark. This is progress!

I think Texas DPS employees read these forums for fun...same with postal workers. They are all in a big conspiracy to to make us obsess and check statuses and mailboxes.

Turns out, after I posted on Friday, I received two envelopes in the mail from DPS. One said I could go online to check my status and the second, an extremely large envelope, had a single sheet of paper which said my photos were "too blurry." So, while we're all waiting for the FBI to get all the census folks checked out, I get to send in another set of photos. At least I know it isn't really slowing the process down any. Hurry up and wait...

Went to bed last night frustrated, my status hadn't changed, this morning I figured heck I'll check anyways, and it has been updated to background check completed, print pending review of application. My excitement is building as I am almost at the end of my wait.

Now the excitement builds I have been looking (ok Stalking all the pages ) It looks like things are moving again at the FBI MAYBE??? Congrats to all

Just checked the DPS website this morning - 10 calendar days and now "Processing Application".

I hope this is early enough to miss the April 28 FBI delay deadline....

Sigh...so here it is 16 or 17 days later and other than the "facelift" regarding all the paperwork has been received, my status has STILL not progessed to a background check.

Very frustrating...

Don't be too frustrated. Mine never showed a background check pending, it never even showed anything about background check until this morning and it read background check completed.

Thats a good bit of information. I did check this morning and no status change (yes, I check just almost daily).

So i call today to check on my app. And he tells me I'm a month out. It's gonna take longer due to prior arrest.he said background is gonna be reviewed. A whole month still. Booooooooooo

Just found out when Igot in town Sunday that my permit has benn mailed! Whoop! It had been pending - reviewing app. for days. Can't wait to check the mail today when I get home.
