emailed all forms in 14 Jan 2014, checked status 17 Feb 2014 showing still waiting for receipt of required documents... sent a nice email asking for a update 19 Feb, no answer back just a receipt confirmation that they received my email..checked status this morning

First time poster, just adding my two cents:

Submitted docs via snail mail 1/13/2014, received per tracking information on 1/15/2014. No update online, nor response from DPS on requests for confirmation of receipt on 2/17/2014.

I am curious to see if the rapid turn around for some of you who submitted online carries over to those of us in the stone age. (In my defense I thought that I had read somewhere that online submission was for renewals only.)

I uploaded my material via their website on 1/6/14 and have had no update to date other than "waiting on materials" via their status web site. I've made TWO requests for updates to status and have received no responses as yet. You're certainly not alone here.

I actually uploaded my documents AND snail mailed them. I uploaded on 1/6 and put a copy in a postal pick up box the same day. The mailed wasn't picked up from the box until the evening of 1/7. So, I guess I double submitted.

Anything from Jan. is not going to show a status yet. They aren't that far along yet.

Actually there are several who submitted the first of Jan who have already received their plastic.

Guess I just needed to get online and talk about it to get the ball rolling...

I submitted my paperwork online on January 13th and I got my first update on February 21st indicating it was in background check status.

Not sure why there are still people from Oct/Nov/Dec timeframe that haven't gotten updates yet. System just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Rock and roll boys. Sent my CHL-100, prints, and bar code on the 1/13, got the received email from them 1/22.

Its a freaking miracle!!!!!!

I heard 2 weeks but I hope I am wrong.

I wonder the methodology behind my status change ( no update and then to manufacture pending) vs. ( no update, manufacture pending background check). Anyone have any insight?

Status 1/15/2014 License Status: Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt
of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun
Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

STATUS REMAINED STATIC UNTIL 2/25/2014

Status remained unchanged for 6 weeks, then showed Background Check under review. Looks like a few more days. Probably complete by mid-March, if no glitches.
