I ordered 500 rounds of .380 ACP from Cabela's on Sunday and it shipped today. $149.99 and they have a $20 coupon.

Are Berden primers corrosive?

I'm thinking this is made for a pistol like the Taurus Judge?
Probably more about marketing than any real difference.

I read the reviews on that cheap ammo and opted not to try it. I did buy a different brand and got the $20.00 off deal @ Cabela's. I am of the opinion that just walking into the store and picking up ammo is WAY cheaper than ordering online, no waiting and no shipping & handling charges. But I am addicted to online shopping so once I was at the site had to just buy something. Right!

Shopping is shopping and a sale is a sale!

Federal makes two loads specifally for the Judge.

1/2 oz of #4 and 4 000 pellets
000 are copper plated and designed to hold a tighter pattern than other .410 buckshot loads.

I was in the Ennis Walmart today... they had good stock on 9mm WWB 100 Round Valuepacks and .40SW Federal FMJ. Also saw a few boxes of .22 Federal 550, .357, .38 and .380. Only saw one box of .45, but then it was hard to see exactly what they have. The ammo is kept under the counter in locked cases instead of the larger display case that the Metroplex stores have.

It seems odd that they are charging more for the FMJ than the hollow point. Heck...at 12.27 a box for 45 I would buy a couple cases of it for plinking. Darn...thinking about it, if they were a little closer, I would go buy that box. it isn't really worth it to me to drive out to Lewisville hoping for one box of ammo.

Cabelas in Ft Worth has 380 for $22 for a box of 50.

I left there with my 5 boxes at 3:30 and they had 25 boxes left. They are on the top shelf of an endcap, over by the black-powder stuff.
They also have Magtech 308 for $28 a box of 50.

WOW! 25 boxes on the shelf at 3:30 in the afternoon! Wow! That tells me a lot! Congrats on snagging those's. Were the .380's magtech also?

03lightningrocks, et al:
Notice that I don't always include the number of rounds in each box.
The reason for that is that many ammo boxes do not clearly state on
them how many rounds are in there.
If I can see the number of rounds, I include them.

I received the Herter's .380 ACP brass five days after ordering from Cabelas. ($15.60 box/50 total cost delivered) I went to the range today, and they worked well in my LCP. I only had one FTF in 100 rounds fired and I think I limp wristed it.
