Mine plastic was delivered yesterday via UPS. I guess because I emailed Rick Perry for assistance.

here was today's email:
Hello,
I am writing again to check on the status of my application:
It is over 90 days now and I have reliable reports of many people who filed after the beginning of June whose licenses have already been issued, and a number who even filed as late as July who already have the license issued.
If there is nothing that is slowing down the progress of my application then why is it that those who filed over a month later are already receiving their license?
Please forward detailed information on the progress of my application.
The last correspondence said it was awaiting "background checks". Is there any more specific information? Is this the FBI background check? The county I live in? What is the normal time that these checks are completed, and how long has it been since mine were begun? What is the process once these checks are complete? Is there no way to prompt or accelerate the completion of these checks? I have absolutely no criminal history of any kind.
Regards,
Thanks :)mr.72 wrote:be my guest :)
I would recommend emailing Gov. Perry. My state rep did nothing for me but Gov. Perry sent a message to the DPS big wigs to get the move on for my application.mr.72 wrote:be my guest :)
I plan on sending something very much like this at least 2-3 times a week until I get my app completed.
I also emailed my state rep (lotta good that'll do) and maybe I'll hit up the Gov. today.
We'll see whether he makes good on the promise to contact me regarding when I should receive my license.Mr. 72,
I have received your inquiry regarding the status of your application. The processing appears to be nearly complete, at this point we are awaiting field investigation results. I will see if obtaining them may be expedited, determine when you should receive your license and then contact you. Once your license has been issued, I will send it to you via priority mail and provide a tracking number. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at anytime.
Sincerely,
Mr. Supervisor
