That won't keep me from trying.

You mean, "It's hard to annoyed The Annoyed Man any further than he's already annoyed!"

You had to actually get a screen capture program? The capability isn't native to the Windoze operating system like it is to Mac OS? You poor child.

Trying to produce training materials utilizing screen shots in Windows is very time consuming. Even with a screen capture program, it's a major pain.

Gross - notice how mine was already cropped? Far superior. Furthermore osx will save the file as a much more useable .png file. That is a connoisseur file type...not a .bmp or .jpg or whatever winbloze uses.

Well, while I was doing it, my son showed me that I could easily "crop" or show only what I wanted to. Even do some editing to it with MS paint. I said.."naw, that's good nough"
Doubt I'll ever use it anyway. And if I need to I'll probably forget how.

Depends on whether you just want to crop it to the window itself. Alt-PrintScreen copies only the active window. (In Windoze, that is.)
The problem with Apple products? Apple won't let me run my own code on it.

There is that... but from my standpoint, it's irrelevant — the reason being that everything I do is web-based anyway. And if need be, I could do my PHP/mySQL development on my local drive, but I don't want to. It's far more useful to me to do the development on the server where the site resides. But you're right... Apple is not easily forthcoming with their KDI.

I have been using Tech Smith's Snag It for years, making training materials and all kinds of pic captures, a three key salute opens a capture session, and away you go.

Oh no...the Apple Snobs are invading. This was a good thread too....
I've gotta go with AustinRealtor (is it real-ter or real-tore?)...In - N - Out burger is the cat's pantaloons. To quote Jules from Pulp Fiction "That is a tasty burger!". You guys know what they call a quarter-pounder with cheese in France?
USA1 don't let them get you down...Apple "just works"...until it doesn't anyways. Now 'scuse me, I think I left the iron on.

All Windows users should have irfanview, small, fast, does screen captures, crops and rescaling(shrinks the pics for emails), and its free.
Windows and Apple is a way to pay for something inferior that the rest of us get for free.

I have a couple of each of those, in a box in the storage building.
