Good news for sure.
A rapidly anti-gun co-worker of mine is retiring at the end of this year and for personal reasons I hope this is all finished before then so I can rub this in her nose. She was all over this when it happened and ya'll can guess her opinions.
She’ll tell you the same thing she probably told you after the Heller and McDonald rulings: "the court got it wrong". They just love Love, LOVE the courts, until the court decides they’re wrong.
Yeah, I'm sure she would, but didn't we do the same thing with the whole ACA is a tax ruling even though the government lawyer argued it wasn't a tax? I still think Roberts was wrong on that one.
The ACA is a tax ruling was the final arbiter and affected the entirety of the U.S. population. This, whatever the ruling, no so much.

Roberts was way, way wrong on that. Courts do not re-write laws... which is what Roberts did.

Seeing what that prosecutor has argued in court, he should be disbarred. Incompetent is the most generous description I can think of.

The number of people affected isn't really what I was talking about, however, a ruling against Kyle now or in the future in appeals courts if it ever gets to that level could affect many. Not the entire country, but still many. I was only observing that people on both sides of an opinion tend to say a court got something wrong when they disagree with a ruling. Sometimes the people are right and sometimes they are wrong.

He probably doesn't believe it's lawful to shoot an armed attacker either.

How do these people get hired to be a prosecutor? Does Wisconsin have a disparity of force clause in their laws?

Haven't you noticed yet? The law is now applied according to which side of the political spectrum one is on.

Friend of mine, who happens to be a retired SEAL, commented thus:
Hmmmmmmm…
"Alec Baldwin is handed a gun...He is to take the gun and insert it into his mouth, for a suicide scene, he is told it is a "cold gun", so it's okay to insert in his mouth and even okay to pull the trigger..."
Q: "Does he check the gun? (Unlike what he did on the set of "Rust") or does he trust that the person, who hands him the gun, is correct, when he is told it is a cold gun...?!?!"

Maybe if Alec is portraying a paparazzo he just inserts and pulls the trigger.

Rittenhouse Trial: What to Expect As Trial Starts Tomorrow
https://lawofselfdefense.com/rittenhous ... -tomorrow/
Tomorrow begins jury selection in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, who on August 25, 2020 shot three men in riot-ravaged Kenosha WI, killing two of them and grievously wounding the third.
Kyle is being tried on a variety of charges, including the felonies of intentional homicide, reckless homicide, attempted intentional homicide, two counts of reckless endangerment, as well as a misdemeanor charge of weapons possession by a minor.
The legal defense to the felony charges will be the legal justification of self-defense. The legal defense to the misdemeanor weapons charge will be inapplicability on the facts, as well as unconstitutional vagueness.
