The WalMart in Mckinney on Lake Forest and Mckinney Parkway has not had pistol ammo, other than 22 for weeks now. Took a trip to San Marcos and the Walmarts down there had some of all the larger calibers. It has gotten to the point that that particular Walmart has nothing but empty shelves for pistol ammo.

Seems like with the walmarts in San Antonio it is pure "luck of the draw". When they do have what you need it is surely cheaper than the same stuff from Academy or from gun shops. For a while I was calling 4-5 walmarts in my area almost every day, but now I just go look at the ammo counter when I happen to be there. Good luck

The Walmart in Killeen had something like 24 boxes of WWB 100 rnd packs of .45 for $33 about a week ago and now it's all gone. Amazing!

I bet it was all gone the day after you saw it.

i dont notice a difference when shooting wwb vs federal at 9mm but it seems the 45 in wwb is a little dirtier. Anyone else notice the same? Both are accurate and cheap enough for me when i can find it in stock :]

I would guess that if any Walmart in SA had that much 45 it would be gone in less than 24 hours. I remember when I would see both 45 and 380 in the 100rd packs all the time....and it was priced less. Wish I would have known then what I know now.....

All I want to know is , do you have a photographic memory or do you write it down while at the store ?

I know I have to write that stuff down. My memory when it comes to that is 1 caliber, and one price.

I once thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken.

Yes, I write it down at the store. There's no way I could
remember all that data. If I don't have my own paper with
me, I find something on the gun area's counter on which to
write.

You know what they say:
"The dullest pencil is better than the sharpest memory."

I always use the same format too: Date, time, location, and the ammo list is presented
from smallest to largest calibers. Call me OCD - see if I care! I'll just wash my hands
20 times and ignore you!

Ways to spot a TexasCHLforum member at Walmart...

1. People who stand at the ammo counter and make notes of the stock .
2. People who walk around while someone is taking pictures of them.
