But no back on subject, my Browning Hipower has always had the rattling magazine problem. I haven't carried / shot it in several years so I don't remember specifics but, what I did after loading the magazine was to slap the back of the mag on my hand or something almost hard to "push" all the rounds to the back. This seemed to help with the symptoms. It was never an issue of functionality. I suspect it has to do with small caliber, double stack magazines. This same issue sometimes is noticeable in some of my .223 magazines. Same type of situation of small round in a double stack mag. Never
did notice it in a .308 double stack mag.

I've done that as well...And it tends to seat all the ammo in those magazines into a consistent alignment, so that it feeds properly...Bubba wrote:javascript:emoticon(':lol:')

Its just that the simple fixes I have tried to get this rattle to go away have failed...
But thats ok, she'll just have to live with it, till we buy a few other magazines for this pistol...This one can be relegated to a practice magazine...
If anything I have surely enjoyed the participation and discussion on this issue...

What do you need a seatbelt for anyway? Just drive on roads where there won't be any traffic accidents. The kids will feel better. And why do you need a gas tank that holds 25 gallons ? A maximum of 10 should be plenty for anyone. And why do you need an automatic transmission ? They are evil. I notice with my XD mags with 10 rounds in the mag it rattles. Pull one round and no more rattle.

+1 That is EXACTLY what mine do. What I've just decided to do is pack 10 in, seat the mag, rack the slide and chamber the round, then it doesnt rattle in the gun itself (as opposed to 10+1).
For the 2 in the mag holder i sometimes take, the rattle is muffled by leather, but those both have 10 (and pearce grips as well). I figure if I am in a situation where I need another mag, I'll want that 10th round as well.
