MAKE SURE IT'S GENERATION 4 (I didn't care for the earlier models so much)
Lots of upgrades between gen 3 and 4 like slide locking back on last round... and others
mine is the white color

Hey Joe I know this is a .380, but it is my favorite pocket gun or inside the waist band. I have the Ruger Max in .380. It is 10 rounds with a XS Big Dot Sight. Great for a drop in quick gun. I installed a Clipdraw on mine like the old KelTec versions. I understand it is a .380 or “just a .380” however you have 10 rounds. I am not one of the run it is just a .380 guys. The .380 has stopped a lot of threats. It is very lightweight.

I had to go find these in the "archive," but here are a couple of photos showing a size comparison: the larger is a Kahr PM9; in the middle is a Kel-Tec P3AT; and the smallest is a Seecamp .32.

Thanks Jose, that .22LR LCP II is the one I was pocketing during her rehab. While I enjoyed it, I want a larger caliber. I have a 642 in .38 special and could carry that. I just wish it had boot grips. The grips it came with are the three fingered wood ones. It pokes out of my jeans pockets. If I cannot find a suitable pocket 9mm, I may just see about getting boot grips for the 642. I have never tried, but I assume I can order a set?
Joe
For the situations that I carry the LCP .22 LR (gym or BUG), it's perfect. It's small, lightweight, but still easy to shoot (because of the smaller cartridge). I can easily hit what I'm aiming for within bad breath distance repeatedly and quickly. Think 5-10 rounds grouped into something the size of a grapefruit. One thing about the LCP is that it's finicky with ammo. But Federal Punch is purportedly a good round in .22, it's fairly cheap, and it has been reliable.
For something in a larger cartridge I like my LCR in .38/.357 or my Glock 43 in 9mm. But but they are heavier and recoil can be an issue.

I have been considering the LCP Max too. I intend to go try one out at Shootsmart next range trip. I have ordered boot grips for my 642. I will try it as my pocket gun for a while.

lcp max with the 12 round mag is not a bad choice at all
https://www.falcoholsters.com/blog/befo ... cp-max-380
i have 3 of them. two with stock sights, one with big dot xs
i put the clipdraw on one. but usually either pocket carry in the superfly or ...
Falco holsters makes an ambidextrious belt slide holster with a spare mag pouch
i have no affiliation with any company, but this is my fav belt slide type holster for the lcp max
because of the spare mag thingy
12 rounds + 12 spares + 1 chambered isn't bad capacity...even if surrounded by a whole pack of wild hogs/dogs/critters
Summer short pants-type carry is sometimes one lcp max in superfly in pocket, and another in the falco belt slide so 24+2 ready to go in the 2 pistols,,,with spare 12 rd mag for a total of 36 rounds plus 2 chambered in the 2 pistols.
fathers' day discount code for 20% off is listed on the site right now
https://www.craftholsters.com/nylon-owb ... -mag-pouch
also this works for pistol+ spare mag
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4V ... UTF8&psc=1
i also bought the pocket trigger cover kydex clip cover on a lanyard that pulls the trigger cover off when drawn. i used it once or twice but not a huge fan of the lanyard string in the way, but if pocketcarry or use the keltec type clip, I feel a need top holster or have trigger covered so if i forget and put chapstick in that pocket, my chapstick doesn't pretend to be a finger and surprise me with a trigger pull.
