Yeah, it seems to have speeded up again.

Next time yall notice it going painfully slow to load, look at the bottom of the Board Index page & Note how many "Users" are online. Yesterday when it was dragging, there were 5 'Registered Users' & 2,279 'Guests'.

Right now it's crazy fast for me, with 7 'Registered Users' & only 334 'Guests'. However, 6 out of the 7 Registered Users online right now are 'Bots'....

I'm wondering if the slow times are when massive waves of bots are attempting to access the site, or some type of Distributed Denial of Service attack.

Yesterday AM was snappy. Then in the afternoon the site was unreachable. As in.. hangs until time out.
This morning back to being snappy.

Slow again this evening. Over 2970 users connected, 99% guests, only 5 registered members.

Is there a User-level setting that needs to be changed to have Active Topics show up when visiting the Forum? Or, is that perhaps a back-side Admin setting that directs / redirects which page initially loads by default?

But, DEFINETLY quicker to load now, & hoping it keeps the spam bots away!
I'd like to know this as well as it's been missing since the update. Yes I did find I could go into the Quick Links but it was much more convenient simply having it available when I brought up the main page of the forum and look to see "what's new".

I just use this as my bookmark and go straight to active topics every time. Still works for me.
