Liberal News Media in a College Town get a story about using a firearm to stop a robber who is in the process of committing a "car jacking" and not getting the information right?? Impossible.....or so they would say.

I'm not holding my breath for the idiots in the News Media to get it right.

Either 30-30 or 30.06. But I'm gonna say 30-30.

Possibly. But lots of .243s, .270s and 7mm mags out there too, especially in the "flat lands". Any of 'em would punch the ticket of 2-legged varmint.

Video shows what looks to be a scoped bolt action. Didn't get a good look and the gun was not visible for long.
There was an interview with one of the robber's family last night. She didn't defend the robber but didn't think the clerk should have chased him for 2 miles to kill him...or something to that effect.

Why the shock? Murder is always homicide, but homicide isn't always murder.
Every legal defensive use of force that results in the death of another is a homicide. Even when perfectly legal.
The State of Texas commits several dozen homicides a year in Huntsville. Again, perfectly legal.
Update: Liquor store robber shot in East Lubbock.

The police said that the robber was found in the car of the clerk. The sheriffs office says that since the robber was shot off of the store property the clerk is being held for possible charges.
Both stories I have posted are the first reports at 6 PM tonight. The updated ones from 10 PM are not on the websites yet. I will post more as I find it.

The Grand Jury refused to indict the store clerk today. I will post the news story as soon as it becomes available. If it does. It was kind of a matter of fact type thing on the news tonight.

Priorities have changed, he's currently laying down suppressive fire against a tactical assault wheelbarrow piloted by gunkid.
