Yeah, because that's how gun rental works.

Weird
What's wrong with Hispanic folks learning about their second amendment rights?
Nothing, but any hispanic citizen of the US should already be able to speak english. So should I assume this was aimed at illegals?

"Should be" does not equal "is". Ever been to the Valley? Ever heard of Puerto Rico? There are native-born U.S. citizens whose families have been speaking Spanish in what is now the U.S., for 200 years before the U.S. even existed.

So should I assume this was aimed at illegals?
No, you should assume it was aimed at people who speak Spanish more fluently than English. Some of them are citizens, and others are legal immigrants who can also legally buy guns.

The English requirements for the citizenship test are very minimal; roughly equivalent to being able to visit a foreign country and being able to read traffic signs, and read a menu and order dinner.

Yes, I think every American should be able to speak English, including those for whom "English" is ostensibly their mother language -- rappers and rednecks included.

I also believe every adult should be reasonably fluent in at least one foreign language, and a passing familiarity with a third. I'm not willing to deny them their rights just because they're not, though.

not when i have a degree in English... it's like listening to spongebob for hours on end... simply mind numbing.

That is a huge presumption, and wrong. There are citizens that speak poor English, and many legal aliens that struggle with English. There is no requirement to speak English to visit our country. I just returned from Mexico and the fine folks there had no requirement for us to speak English when we visit them either.

I agree with your first two sentences, but since we're talking about gun ownership, visitors to our country don't enter into the equation.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
