A spokesman said the warning, which was discovered Dec. 10, made reference to massacre of 33 people last year at Virginia Tech University, but he said it could not be immediately determined whether the threat was related to Thursday’s shootings.
What will it take? Will it take a politician's son or daughter's life in one of the shootings to open their eyes?
My blood is boiling. At what point does one say, "I'm not risking my life anymore." At what point does one decide to carry a gun into their university classrooms and risk expulsion (or worse) out of genuine fear?
Forgive my lack of words; my emotion is more than I can express in literal terms. I just don't understand...

Didn't Sen. Barack Hussein Obama promise that he was going to take away the guns?
Someone didn't get the memo.

I'm sure some people already have passed that point...............
You're not alone. My blood pressure goes through the roof when I start thinking about it.

When the confiscation starts, they'll also probably turn theirs in without a fight. Because the
INSERT STATE GOVT OR FED GOVT/AGENCY HERE will protect us now.

My letter to the Dallas Morning News:
By passing common sense gun control laws?
The latest shooting rampage was over in minutes, before police ever got there and long before the university started to shut down.
These gun free zones, like schools, posted malls, and such, merely invite the criminals to come there to do nasty things without fear of anyone interfering in their nefarious plans.
Most of these idiots seem bent on dying as part of their ghastly agenda, why not make the effort to grant their wishes while potentially reducing the suffering of others?
It's time to do away with the antiquated gun laws that exist in this country, those based on the premise that disarming the law abiding, the only ones who obey the current laws, will somehow protect the law abiding from criminals. It's time for nationwide concealed carry for all law abiding citizens.
Jeanne Assam serves as just one of many good examples of what happens when one of these domestic terrorist suicide attackers is confronted by an armed citizen.

Don't bother with corrections, additions, or detractions, I already sent it.
My blood is boiling too, once again "reasonable restrictions" demontrate their true value.

I think it is disingenuous to characterize making a campus a gun-free zone as a "reasonable restriction".
It's certainly not reasonable to me.

With the current laws regarding weapons in Illinois this is another example of gun control not working. We need to get that statement out at the same level as the anti's propoganda will hit the airways and newspapers.
I have a daughter in college right now that will not turn 21 until next December, but when she does she will be going to school armed. I hate to come right out and say that, but if the laws cannot be changed then we will be required to do what we must to protect ourselves and family. I have actually asked if she would like to start carrying now since she would be breaking the law with a CHL anyway. She has said she is not comfortable with that, we will see if she still feels that way after this last shooting.
There was an old joke about the dumb BG that went to rob the local bar that turned out to be the local LEO watering hole. Would it not be nice to see some idiot pull out a gun and be taken down before he could do harm.
The antis can make all of the comments they want regarding the dangers of, in this case students, young adults being armed causing more problems than the one lone shooter. Keep in mind that this is the same age group that we issue guns to and send off to war to protect us. This is the same age group that in a crisis may be sent to keep the piece in your own city if things got bad enough. This is the same age group that can get a CHL in many states as long as they are a member of the armed services.
I have to ask these sheeple the question, what if it were your child that died? If someone can tell me that there response would be the same, then I must assume their not much of a parent, or they are lying. Would they turn down the opportinity to go back in time and be there when it happened, armed? Would they then want the biggest, badest gun they could get their hands on.
What is next for the gun free zones? There have been recent church, mall, and university killings. Go back a few years and it was the post office. Remember when and where the term going postal originated. Easy pray for the perps.
I would like to see the antis in my area place signs in front of their homes and let everyone know they are not armed and that weapons are forbidden on the property. It would certainly take the guess work out of the equation for the BG, and possible save me the cost of a round or two.

45 4 Life - I agree with what you've said - when it comes down to it - "it's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6" - I'd rather face some prison time/fine than be dead because of a lunatic.
