for those of you who do under-a-tucked-shirt carry, do you leave it where it is when you get in your car/truck, or do you pull it out, stash it in a better/more accessible location for the drive, then put in back on and re-tuck when you arrive and get out of your vehicle?

I've had the Crossbreed Super-tuck for a couple of months. It's great. I had to try it in a couple of different positions, and adjust the cant a little bit, but it is extremely comfortable.
When I'm driving, I just leave it in the same place, and it's no problem. YMMV.

Either a commander sized Sig 1911 with 4.25" barrel, or a H&K USP Compact in .40, both carried IWB. No problems at all.

I'm not as pear-shaped as I used to be, but upward is where I'd want it - my instructor wore his high, not at/near the beltline but more towards where the gun would hang in a shoulder holster, only "vertical" instead of "horizontal" like it would be in an actual shoulder holster. Between the arm & torso but high enough above the belt to avoid most unnecessary contact seems like a good place to conceal.

Thanks KC5AV! I think I'll try out the Crossbreed, it seems to have the smaller "height" dimension vs. the Comp-Tac, which I should think will make for a more comfortable "installation".

I change my carry method and carry gun based on what I'm wearing that day.
My preferred weapon is the 1911, but sometimes I have to settle for the Bersa Thunder.

I'll carry in a holster on the hip, in a belly band on either the hips or lower chest, the pager pal (rarely now), and in the purse if all else fails.

Someone here has carried in her bra, but I'll keep that information confidential.

I carry a S&W Sigma .40 cal IWB. I used to carry it in front, but like you said that gets rather uncomfortable when you're sitting. I now carry it on the side, right over my pocket. I like the placement, and it's quite comfortable, even for it being a largish firearm.

I've started doing some research on holsters...lots to read, but the message is clear: it can be done! I can see its going to take a little trial and error. Luckily my wardrobe consists mostly of t-shirts and polos, which I almost always wear untucked with either jeans or shorts. I dont tend to wear jackets or other "cover" garments much though so I'm leaning towards IWB just so there is more room for error with a shirt riding up before the bottom is exposed. The next big concern of mine is what happens when I sit, but it definitely sounds like with the right gear this can be ok. Time to experiment!

That right there is the most important thing. We can tell you all day long waht works for us but ultimatly its going to have to come down to what works for you.

I carry a Browning Hi Power in a C-TAC IWB tuckable holster under a tucked in t-shirt or polo shirt in the summer, use it as an untucked IWB under vest in the winter/spring. Haven't had a problem with it. Most of the time I drive my pickup, and the seatbelt arrangement doesn't interfere with the gun. In the car, I sometimes put a second handgun between the seats ( has a split-bench arrangement).

I am about 5'6", couple hundred, and don't find the Hi Power a problem at all, especially with the C-TAC holster. The Hi Power is very flat, like a 1911, and that makes a much bigger difference in concealability to me than shorter barrels or grips.
