Thanks, brothers and sisters!
I am home now. Mrs. Anygun and the family made certain I arrived in good shape. My grandson just couldn't understand why Papaw couldn't walk and hold him. **sigh**
Now I get to start the Workmans Compensation nightmare on the repairs.

Isn't that the hardest part to explain? That really got my son when his mom couldn't pick him up right after the birth of our daughter. And right after my surgery just over a year ago.
Glad you are back and ready to continue healing. Thank you God!

I've been working the elections and haven't read the forum much. Anygun, you are in my prayers, even now. What a shame this had to happen. If we can help, just sing out!
Blessings!!

Thanks again for all of your prayers.
I am taking it easy with the leg in the splint applied in Canada. Tylenol keeps it to a throb until I misjudged my stride on my crutches and smacked a chair.
My HMO doctors do not accept workmen's comp. No big deal really. I don't like them anyway.
Our eldest son is a sports trainer and we are trying to follow his recommendations. Sons with educations are a good thing.
All of the good surgeons are out on vacation prior to the spring break broken bone rush.
Mrs. Anygun and I are headed into Hermann Hospital downtown tomorrow evening to start the ball rolling on the repair. The orthopod we want is head of the ortopedic surgery unit at Hermann.
I will give you an update after surgery.
Thank you again,
Eddie and Linda

Ouch! Now I remember why I dislike living in frozen climes...
We'll be praying for your recovery.

Was off at school last week, just now catching up to this. Sorry to hear of your accident, and best wishes and prayers for a speedy and bureaucracy-free recovery.

First of all, thank you all again for praying for me in my time of need.
I am home now after successful surgery. We are truly blessed to have the Texas Medical Center in Houston.
My left fibula is in one piece again, held in place by a titanium plate and 9 screws. The surgeon used the longest plate available.
Sutures out in two weeks then a hard cast for 6-8 weeks. Ligament damage will be assessed after the hard cast comes off.
Mrs. Anygun made the surgeon promise I could still dance when I am done.

By the way, could you dance before surgery?

Thanks for the update, anygun. I've been praying for you in the mornings and will continue to do so.
Will they have to go in and remove any metal hardware?
