I use a Milt Sparks Versa Max II to carry my Kimber Pro Carry 2. The alloy frame is good to go. The only corrosion is on the hammer spur.

The VM II works for everything from a wedding tux to beach shorts and a Tee shirt.

When I first started carrying, it was my 1911 all the time. Milt Sparks Summer Special. Blued Combat Commander, no problems with corrosion, just wiped it down with a silicone impregnated cloth at the end of the day. Now that I tend to be on two wheels more often than not, I can't come up with a viable solution that allows me to carry my 1911s as often as I'd like, so the polymer wonder-nine (KT-P11) goes pretty much everywhere with me.
