We have a shooter with my club who says he know's the officer and has known her for some time. Her "training" may have helped, but I didn't get the impression it was the training her PD provided. She's an officer who does shoot on a routine basis though according to this guy. That in itself, in my limited experience, is a rare thing.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.
