Since then I've been going non stop.

Well according to my calculations I should be at 60 days on August the 23rd. I will be giving them a call later this coming week to check on the status. Hopefully at least get a status on my PIN.

I'm feeling a bit discouraged about the whole '60-day' thing. I called a couple weeks ago and they still didn't have me in the system. They also mentioned they are dealing 3 times the normal volume of applications and that I could expect to wait "at least 6-months" for the CHL. If anyone has news to the contrary, I'd sure like to hear about it.

06/28/08 - Class taken
06/29/08 - Qualified
06/30/08 - Packet Mailed
07/02/08 - Return receipt received
07/17/08 - Emailed details to request PIN.
07/18/08 - Advised I'm still not entered in system and will receive a letter with PIN once it's entered.
08/04/08 - Fingers tightly crossed for plastic to be in hand by Christmas

It may not be encouraging, but you should better understand the problem.

Keep in mind the old saying "Under promise, over deliver." If a company tells you they will deliver a product to you in 20 days, and you get it in 8, you will be overjoyed, and recommend everyone to that company. It's a simple way for an organization to try and keep their customers happy. I'm sure this applies here as well. I wouldn't truly expect a 6 month wait, but if you convince yourself it may take that long, then when you get it in 2 months, you will be excited you got it "early". Well, maybe, anyway....

Are you counting the day Austin rec'd your app? If that is the case I'm on day 61, no plastic yet. Has anyone in here rec'd their license yet?

It's funny how some people, including me, can wait 6 months to take the class, but once you've submitted your app, you can't wait for the plastic...

Anyway, congrats, maybe it won't be long before us June applicants start getting some licenses!

You should be about a week behind me then. Since you used the handwritten application, the mailing address on yours was different then the mailing address on my packet I received.

Your packet is addressed to their Check Cashing dept, then they forward it to the actual CHL processing dept.
Mine, since already paid for, was address directly to the processing dept.

Hopefully your status will change within a week!
