I finally broke down and bought a good belt. A Galco 1.50" Sport Belt and it made all the difference in the world.....like night and day!

I use it with a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 holster and haven't had any trouble....of course, I haven't done any real world carrying, yet. I'm still "processing."

I can't speak for everyone else, but I found that carrying a Keltec P3AT in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster has worked well for me. It's small and I have easy access if needed. 380's are not prefered knockdown by any standards, but at least it's close at hand and fairly comfortable.

Good point. The best caliber weapon is the one you have with you...not the one locked in your safe/car.

First of all I carry a Glock 27.
I`ve foung that it is very comfortable to conceal and carry. I use a Don Hume in the pants holster, but at times I cary it between my pants and belt ( attached to the belt of course).If I`m sitting alot I carry it just around the side of my hip ( right side). if I`m walking or standing alot i carry just to the front of my hip.I`ve found both are very comfortable and very well concealed.Most of the time I forget that I have it on, since it fits so well.

No. I tried many things around the house while waiting for my plastic and found out what works for me. I use IWB 75% of the time and pocket carry 20% of the time. For the last 5% (beach, etc.) I use off body carry or don't carry.

I just got my CrossBreed IWB and it is the most comfortable holster I have. I am used to the Kydex holster digging into my side, the CrossBreed's leather makes it comfy. I would try a Kydex/leather holster. You do not have to spend a fortune to get a good holster with the CrossBreed.

If I'm going somewhere that I have to dress up, I carry a Kahr PM9 in a DeSantis Nemesis holster in my pocket and a spare mag in my back pocket. It's pretty comfortable.....and comforting too.

I carry a walther ppks in my galco horizonal shoulder strap. I can also put my berreta Tomcat on it when I want to go lighter.

I wonder why nobody has mentioned a fanny pack. That's what I use to carry a S&W snubnosed .357 mag. From http://www.chuckhawks.com/concealed_carry.htm comes

Fanny packs have become less common so that now, the presence of a fanny pack (at least in some areas) nearly screams "I'm packing". Still, if it's not printing, I'd rather people suspect me of carrying than go without, so I use it sometimes (e.g. walking the dog at night in shorts and t-shirt).

My workplace is another "only criminals are allowed to carry zone," so I don't carry everyday, though I do carry in my vehicle. I keep a chest band (as someone referred to it) handy. Problem I have is if I am going somewhere on the way home from work, I can't get into this chest band thing w/o a place to almost completely remove my (tucked in) shirt. Not the quickest draw, but very concealed. Still nervous about wearing to church and freaking someone out. I want to check out some of these other inside the waistband (IWB) holsters, but I'm so cheap, it could be awhile.

One other thought/question: I typically commute on a motorcycle and carry in the hard, lockable saddlebag. I am not comfortable carrying even in the chest band in case I were to have an accident and land on the handgun. I'm not so worried about the gun going off, since I don't carry one in the chamber; more worried about breaking a rib or hip bone or something if I land on it. Anyone else ride and have thoughts on this? I can't believe the motorcycle cops ride with one on their hip, outside the waistband (OWB) style and all. Looks like that would be VERY painful to fall on.

ND stands for negligent discharge, a term that most of us feel is more appropriate than AD, or accidental discharge.

I don't believe I would recommend carrying in a pocket without a holster. Sounds like a good way to shoot yourself in the leg. The trigger could easily be pulled on accident.

I would be nervous about carrying to church also......I believe that is illegal...please note the following. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

(6) on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established place of religious worship.

If there is No 30.06 sign.......ok to carry........is that correct?


Anyway back on topic........I have been experimenting at home and on the lease........I can't legally carry in public yet. It looks like when I don't feel like carrying my XD-40 I will carry my Beretta Tomcat 3032 in the front pocket. I know the Tomcat is a wimpy weapon.......but I think it will be better than not carrying at all.
