I'm not saying it's against the law to carry in a hospital that is not 30.06 posted. It seems to be legal, but I don't know of the concept being tested.

There are two problems:
  • It was against the law for a CHL to carry in a hospital until several years ago (2005, IIRC).
  • Not every officer knows the law completely. I'm willing to bet that the average contributor to this forum knows Chapter 46 better than the average police officer.
If you do something that results in your handgun being detected, and someone calls the police, and you're still there when the police arrive, yer probably takin' a ride.

CHL holders have been wrongly arrested (though not in connection with hospitals).
