The idea of not allowing open carry because it might frighten someone disgusts me.

Never said it was a valid reason for not allowing it. However, it is a fact of life that there are those out there that are ignorant about honest citizens open carrying and are scared by seeing a gun on someone other than a uniformed or plain clothes LEO. And we have to realize that those who would oppose open carry for those reasons do have the ear of legislators just as we do. And worst of all, there are some of those types that ARE legislators and will do whatever they can to prevent it and potentially try to take back other rights we have regained over time.jamisjockey wrote:The idea of not allowing open carry because it might frighten someone disgusts me.
I agree. It's the same kind of mentality that says homosexuals or mixed-race couples shouldn't be allowed to hold hands in public, because it might offend some narrow minded bigot.jamisjockey wrote:The idea of not allowing open carry because it might frighten someone disgusts me.
Narrow minded bigots are so insulting; I'm sorry, I just can't abide 'em.tacticool wrote:I agree.
