Pets are an important part of our lives, and I believe the respect with which we treat them is a reflection of our character. Mine will be 17 in a few months; she's spoiled, overweight, hard of hearing, and no longer likes to climb the stairs to the second floor. But she still manages to be an unfailing alarm clock: always 30 to 60 minutes
before the clock itself, no matter the time the clock is set.
I'm praying for Baxter and for Agape.

We will remember both of you in prayer. As Kevin said, this is common in Schnauzers. One of ours had it pretty bad and she recovered fine. We have her on a special food, but one that is available in most pet stores like Pets Mart.

Update on Baxter:
I went to visit him at the hospital after I left work. He's still getting IV fluids and antibiotics, and he was given plasma yesterday. They said he's starting to heal up, but they need to keep those fluids running through him at least until Friday.
We miss him. The house is too quiet without him.
Please continue to pray. I'll update again when he comes home.
Thanks so much for your prayers so far. Mars, Baxter, & I appreciate it.
BryanG, I'm praying for Agape.

Thanks, MoJo, She is the sweetest little thing in the world. The infection has moved into her other eye today, but the big knot of the side of her face does look better. Thank you all so very much!

Another update:
We brought Baxter home today. He's still not out of the woods according to the vet's office. We have tons of medicine to give him at specified times, and we have to watch everything that goes anywhere near his mouth.
We also have to watch him while he's in the backyard, due to the curious nature of schnauzers, and the fact that they aren't choosy eaters. (I won't go into detail, but anyone that has ever had a schnauzer can tell you that they are quite adventurous, and they tend to eat things that were never meant to be eaten.)
We're continuing to watch & pray.
bryang, I will continue to pray for Agape.

Venus, that is wonderful news, thank the Lord for His goodness. Thank you for remembering Agape, also. She goes back to the Vet Tuesday.
God Bless You

Venus,
Don't forget to update us with a "Baxter report" as soon as you have any significant news.
I know that you and he (Baxter) are both glad he is home. Very scary having a pet become that ill.
Flint.

Praise Report:
Baxter has been doing well for nearly a week now. No symptoms.
He's still on medicines in the morning, and he'll be on a special diet for the rest of his years. However, he's active and appears very happy.
We thank God for healing our little guy.
I appreciate everyone praying for him. Baxter is like a little kid with a beard , and it broke my heart to watch him hurting. I'm so thankful for his healing, and I appreciate the prayers.
We're still praying for Agape, Bryang.
