No offense taken...I didn't mean it as a hijack either. Just a point that too many children die needlessly in the care of adults.

Carry on.

The operator can hear what's going on and determine what's going on inside. They could then call the authorities, lower the windows & set off the alarm.

And if GM could attach a taser mechanism to the key fob, they could alert the owner.
Isnt it Volvo that has the heartbeat monitor inside the car that is sensed by the keyfob? it was originally marketed as a way to know that a bad guy is waiting in the car for you but I have heard it more recently spoken about as a way to remind parents that there is a person left in the car.
Why should any parent need reminding???? I have a 4 month old son and I know exactly where he is IN THE BED next to me at night, much less when I'm out and about with him in my care. Children come first and foremost. If you're stupid enough to forget your kid in the car, then you need to be exterminated in order to prevent you from further contaminating the gene pool :banghead: :mad5 :waiting:

There is NO EXCUSE for leaving a child in a vehicle, PERIOD.

I am ready to learn and understand. My mind is open. Exactly why is the man being charged in the death of his girlfriend? It was an accident. He did not mean to do it. He will certainly be in anguish and grief over it. Why punish him further? Is there an age where it is homicide and not? Was her life more valuable than the innocent angels that died in the hot cars? Is Louisiana not as compassionate as Texas? Why in the world won't those heathens in Jefferson Parish let this go?

Why?!?!?!?!?

You beat me to posting something extremely similar. DANGIT :boxing

Now I can be a lilly livered liberal at times. But come on.
Choices have concequences. Mistake or not.

This is the same kind of road you go down to allow a murderer to get out of jail after only a few years sentence.
