If you're up for going to the range together, it may be constructive to get a more experienced eye on the situation.

If you're down, I'd be happy to get together with you soon. Without looking at my schedule, I could tentatively do something this weekend. Let me know if you want to. There are a couple of other forum members that I see at the range as well, so we could make it a small group thing.

Come to think of it, it's starting to cool down, and would probably be a good time for another Austin forum get-together. I'll have to make a post later to see if we put one together soon. :fire

Mr. 72, I think Wildscar made some very good points. When I first started carrying I had problems with the grip sticking out, but I finally found the right "spot" and the right "cant", especially the cant was the most important part. Now the grip fits snug, almost straight up and down and you can not see it when I am wearing a t-shirt or out-side shirt. And he is right, after a few days of carrying, you will not ever think about it.

The most important thing is not to give up or get discouraged...there is a way that will work for you! :thumbs2:

Good Luck!

Wow. With my Supertuck I can carry with snug jeans and a tight-fitting white t-shirt without any issues (I do wear a white undershirt under any of my shirts, including white t-shirts, and I don't know if this has any effect). Of course I sometimes print a little but it isn't anything to worry about. I carry a XD-40 SC (3").

With tight-fitting slacks (what I wear to work everyday) I usually carry my XD in my pocket. I've ordered a Smartcarry holster so I'll see how that works but my slacks won't fit with the Supertuck because they don't have any give like jeans do. I definitely print with my slacks but no one has noticed, even friends I have who are die-hard gun enthusiasts.

+1 on finding the right spot and cant. I wasn't initially comfortable with my supertuck until I realized (duh) that those other holes are for adjusting the cant. It's very cozy and basically invisible now.

The point of the long wait was to carry legally. I agree the wait is too long but the law is the law.

Except for the beach and the gym, I don't have any problems carrying concealed in public anywhere there isn't a metal detector. I bought good gear but I didn't have to buy new shirts or new pants or new hats or anything else. I usually carry IWB but sometimes carry a snub-nose revolver in my pocket. I never had police or coworkers or guy friends say anything. Girlfriends have noticed but they would have seen it later in the evening anyway.

I carry a full size Glock 21SF, tucked at the office with a spare mag in a leatherman pouch and no one has a clue. Unless you wear tight fitting clothes, it should not be a problem. I'm not familiar with a Crossbreed, but my MTAC just swallows up the G21 and hides it nicely at about 4:00 carry.

He does, and that's the issue. We had a long thread elsewhere dedicated almost entirely to his clothing choices. The link is here, if you want to get up to speed:

Hey, it's not that I wear tight fitting clothes. It's that I don't wear overly loose fitting clothes.

There is a difference.

The emo guys wearing girl jeans, that's tight-fitting clothes.

But I realize my clothes would be considered "tight fitting" by most of the CCW crowd.

Taken from Urban Dictionary (for what it's worth):

Emo- emo boys

emo boys are guys the choose to not follow the ideas of the maintstream society. emo boys dress in tight pants and shirts. they also wear eyeliner and have shaggy hair that hangs in there face. although some people have the misconception that emo boys only makeout with each other, cry and cut their wrist this is very wrong!!! emo boys are guys who are in touch with their emotions!! because society has thaught us that guys should not cry and always be strong is why alot of people shun the emo lifestyle. emo boys are very special they are the sweetest type of guy you could ever meet! they express there self through art and music and speak very lyrical.
emo boys listen to silverstein, bright eyes, hellogoodbye, the used, my chemical romance, hawthorne heights, and sugarcult.

I have to go :banghead: now.

so,

I have a friend (believe it or not)

that wears similarly styled and sized clothing. had'em put on ye old Kimber Pro CDP in mah MTac an' wear it about the house for a bit. in one position it was so obvious it was funny. it truly made me think of what you were talking about, grip stickin' out all cock-eyed and what-have-ya. ~4:00, maybe 4:15. moved it a little further back (5-5:20PM CST) and it disappeared.
sat in a computer chair, leaned back (cue "Lean Back..."), we even played some of the ol' gee-tars, no issues, no printing, no small shirts hung up and all over. So it can be done. even with the designer shirts with the stereotypical gothic lettering and a word like "Mystikal" or some-such, it can be done.
now, you may have to modify how you pick things up, and just get used to it, overall, but it can be done.

5:00-5:20 is pretty much SOB... One thing though, I tried that. The grip hangs on my guitar strap. But it's close to being doable! I prefer appendix with the SC though.

Thanks for checkin' it out for me :) I will give it a shot and see how it works. I have to get a more suitable belt before I am going to out and about with a gun on that way.

BTW I just returned from Wal Mart. t-shirt, cargo pants, AIWB with the smartcarry, no problema. Works great. :) Now I have to run to a couple more stores. Sorry I didn't follow the "Wally Walk" rules because I just have no interest in being in that store that long. I just needed a roll of duct tape.
