Brand spanking new truck and has had 3 or 4 jobs in the last couple of months? I think the repo man may have had a visit.
no yet

it sucked in water in the storm and bent the rods
Ouch! Mucho badness when you hydrolock a piston!

Did any of those links help out bud??

And guys..before you pile on a guy thats down...how about offering a hand to pull himself up..instead of putting out that hand to push him down further!!! :mad5 We're Texans...we take care of our own!

My honest reccomendation as a professional is to put a quality remanufactured engine from a reputable supplier in and be done with it.

I know a local guy (Texarkana) who has a good clean S10 for sale:

If you read on down, he's now asking $3,000 OBO, heavy on the OBO.

i will consider that but it is a bit far and the cost of driving up there and back would be high

1998 Honda ST1100 with 19,000 miles. Bike isn't even broke in yet. There are many of these bikes with over 150,000 miles on them. NOT MINE, JUST POSTED ON ANOTHER FORUM

http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showt ... adid=28013" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
A friend of mine passed this along to me to see if I knew anyone who might be interested in something like this. 1998 Honda ST1100 with less than 19000 miles, new tires, shaft drive, cruise control, fairing, bike cover, hasn't been ridden in 1 1/2 yrs. Corbin leather seat with fold down back rest, new original seat, service manual. Batt. is down, (bad??), buy as is. Price several months ago was $3500. Don't know if that is negotiable or not. The bike is in Victoria, Tx. if interested let me know and I will shoot a P.M. with owners ph. no. Other than what is posted, I have not seen bike or know anything about it.

You can buy a brand new Honda scooter for $1500.

How far do you live from work? I have a bycycle that was barely ever ridden that I can give away.

Can you ride a motorcycle?

http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes/blast/features.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

a. Take a certified MSF course
b. Buy good helmet and good riding gear
c. practice, practice, practice
d. get on this site and learn all you can http://www.msgroup.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
e. practice, practice, practice

10 miles to work, as long as you ain't jumping on the freeway you should be good to go..I have a 34mile one way trip to work (down 225, 45N, 59S all freeway)..my V-Star 650 is fine, if you don't go freeway speeds then you don't need anything over 500cc (the smaller the engine the better the gas mileage...a 250 can go 70mph (about max it can go) but it can do it at 60-70mpg!)

Just make 100% sure you are comfortable and mentally prepared to ride a motorcycle, you ride with all your gear all the time (ATGATT), and you ride like you are invisible and you should do ok

P.S. Look on craigslist..they have bikes for fairly cheap sometimes..especially right before and early winter

Yeah the Honda scooters get like 100 mpg. Unreal! Plus if you live in a populated area they have that little rack. You could get a side job delivering pizzas! :thumbs2:
