Welcome to the waiting room everyone. Hope your stay here is brief.

While here, take time to read some of the fine post on the forum and gather as much information as possible so you are ready to roll when you receive your plastic!! :thumbs2:

That doesn't sound all that quick to me considering they have 60 days to issue. They have done a pretty good job of lowering expectations by doing a bad job when people start to feel that 90 days is pretty quick.

Only problem with your supposition is that the person you're replying to didn't tell you how long it too the guy to SEND the paperwork. We've heard people come in here saying, "I took the class 6 months ago, but just haven't sent in the paperwork...."
One can only suppose based on the information provided -- including the frequency with which people are receiving plastic in 90 days or so. What was provided leads one to believe that 3 months is to be viewed as pretty quick. If that supposition is accurate, that does not seem very quick to me. If more information is provided that explains why it is quick, my supposition will change (for this one circumstance at least).

Thats mostly due to the guys on here that have been waiting for over 100 days, some even 200 days... So compared to those guys, 90 days can be considered quick.. The DPS and related parties dont get in any hurry to give you what is rightfully yours to begin with..

That is my fundamental point. It is a sad day when anything more than the legal timeframe seems quick (by comparison of course). The moral of the story... do a bad job... lower expectations.

That is where I took mine. I really like that range even though it is getting busy on the weekends.

Well, I guess I'll park it here now that I've turned in my application.

I have a friend from San Antonio who received his plastic five weeks from the time he mailed in his app. I can only dream mine will be this fast.

I know it's going to get kicked back because I didn't send in all the court documentation they will want.
I am working on getting that and decided to send in my application in the mean time.

I'm theorizing that at least they'll have it and get started and maybe I'll have the court's paperwork in hand when they ask for it.

I'm not counting the days... yet.

Filed on line. Received the packet yesterday and it included the Pin#. In the mail yesterday. OOPS -- I forgot to include one item in the package. Dang!!!

I called and was told, "Just wait until notified before sending, you should hear something within two months."

I hope that doesn't delay the process too long...
