Thanks for all the input.

When a subject is being discussed by one interested group and is of no further interest to a very small minority who've simply "had enough of this subject", O.K.- so...?

Disinterest, discomfort or any negative regarding any discussion topic, gives the aggrieved minority no right to halt further discussion. This is the height of presumption. It's up to the moderators to make that decision - not them.

Having a bit of tenure on the board as a fellow poster invokes no authority. Posters aren't de facto moderators - much as they try. Thinking time spent on the board provides authority is laughable and displays a lack of understanding of their place.

If the laborious effort in reading a long thread ultimately proves redundant (in their opinion) well, Se la vie, life is hard and then...

I have read this entire thread and the OP may be referring to me at times......

I will continue to exercise my right to say anything I want as long as it allowable within the rules of this Forum, regardless if whoever likes it or not. You can do the same, just like everyone else........ ;-)

Hope that answers your question. :totap:

........I will not comment further here......

Are Pit Bulls covered in topic 4?
Nope. Pit bulls are a whole nother topic. And can only be identified by those trained and certified in the fine art of Pit Bull Identification.

Maybe they need their own badges?

10. Open carry of long guns.

By the way, we're coming up with a pretty interesting list. Somebody should take all of these and write up a really nice and comprehensive "TexasCHLForum FAQ".

I assume you're talking about self-appointed stuffed shirts rather than moderators enforcing actual rules.

I think the main reason is intolerance of different opinions.

I think the second most common reason is they know the facts don't support their opinions and they're embarrassed every time drives a big ol convoy through the holes in their logic.

The third most common is compensating for deficiencies that can't be discussed without violating the rules. "rlol"

Could you add a couple more insults?

I already outlined my reasons for doing so, in specific detail. Neither you nor Abraham have addressed any of those points in your responses/generalizations, and none of them fit into your "common reasons" outlined above. My comments appear to have been simply ignored in favor of negative criticism and generalizations regarding the character of the individuals (myself included) you are disagreeing with.

If you're going to direct criticism at others who contribute to this forum, you should cite specific details to back up your suppositions. Otherwise, all you are doing is name-calling.

The "beat to death" excuse is just intolerance. Tolerant behavior would be skipping over the discussion they don't enjoy and spending their time on discussions more to their liking. Trying to prevent other people who are following the forum rules from discussing topics they enjoy demonstrates a lack of tolerance. (behavior, not person)
