Nay, an I tell you that, I'll ne'er look you in the face again: but those that understood him smiled at one another and shook their heads; but, for mine own part, it was Greek to me.

The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λάβε; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them!", is a classical expression of defiance reported by Plutarch in response to the Persian Army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons. It corresponds roughly to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body", "bring it on" or, most closely, "come and get it". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

Great,
Now I have to learn greek to be able to converse with like minded enthusiasts.
I know what Molōn labe means, but Μολὼν λάβε looks like arabic or latin or russian to me.
And they are definitely all greek to me.

Thanks, but by the time you pay $15 plus shipping and state taxes that makes the hat, albeit cool, a little pricey for us retired seniors. Anybody got any used ones? :smilelol5:

Thanks, that's a great idea. It might be cheaper to just buy the hat.

You could sweet talk a little old lady into doing the needlepoint for you. :smilelol5:

I guess I'll look into having one made, then I'll post the total cost / resulting pics on here. :thumbs2:

Glad you like it Doug, my own order is due in today also. I only had one left of the six I had ordered before.

Had too many family and friends that liked them (and I'm soft hearted). Hard to believe....I know. ;-)
