You can't beat a good gun belt for keeping your holster in place and keepin yer britches up, especially if you like packing real iron like a mil-spec 1911 on occaision.

I really like my De Santis belts. I have quite a few, dress and work, tan, black, stitched, plain, you name it. No aggie maroon, though.

Imelda Marcos has nothing on me....except she liked shoes.

Wow, thank you guys for all of the information! I have chosen the Don Hume belt. The link provided by Overeasy has some awesome prices! I trust that the Don Hume belt will be the same degree of quality as their holsters. Thanks again for all of the input, it made my choice rather easy!

Anygun, Why don't we get together and shoot! I am sure you have some valuable lessons to share with me and we live in each others back yard! I agree with you that a good belt is important. I do have an Uncle Mikes velcro that I wear under my scrubs (no belt loops) which makes things much easier. The one that I am currently using is very thin fake elephant. It is wide and held up much longer than I thought it would. I am really looking forward to getting the Don Hume ordered which will happen some time in the next couple of days. Take care.

You bet. I am in Beaumont right now, heading back to Canada June 1 for a few weeks, then bqck to Beaumont for 6 months. Maybe we can hook up this fall.

Keep that thought in mind.

There is a man in Arlington, Tx who is supposed to be real good and not very expensive. Before I became ill I had his information and have since lost it. Does anyone know who he is? He was advertised in a Handgun magazine at one time.

I have thier plain old cow hide belt and I highly reccomend it. Rafter S uses 7 closer spaced holes instead of the usual 5. It allows for greater range of adjustment for comfortability. At $48 it won't break the bank.

Update,

I originally wanted a Don Hume belt! I ordered two of them from different companies and both tole me they were six to eight weeks back order.

I am not the most patient guy in town so I purchased a Galco 1 1/2 in belt and love it! I have worn the belt for a couple of days and find myself adjusting my gun less frequently!
