I would advise against this item. It's definately in violation of the KISS principle and you would have to commit to many hours of training to get proficient with it.

Cover the trigger and you're fine or carry a 1911 with 2 safeties.

I could understand your skepticism and I must admit that I'm talking on 2nd info. Nothing I'm about to say have I ever experienced. Experts say that in a a problem arises situation you default to the level of your training, not rise to the occasion.

Having an added trigger block seems like bad news for business if you need immediate access to a firearm. What if you are having to use your off hand? What if you are lying on your side and have gravity working against you to "pop" the block out.

Lot's of what if's...I know, but they can all be easily avoided by selecting a more sound carry method.

At the end of the day it is your call, and at least you will be carrying; however, I felt like you should know some of the issues with physically blocking your trigger.

as long as your holster covers the trigger/trigger guard - you should be fine carrying a glock safely. Cops do it daily.

First of all, Howdy everyone! I have been reading the forums for several weeks and finally decided to join.

evil_smurf: I also have a G19 and have a similar problem due to my small frame. I am 5'9" about 155 lbs and have a hard time keeping it from printing or bulging. Please post your findings from your holster research in hopes of helping me out.

Currently, I carry my Kel-Tec P-3AT in either my front or back pants pocket but would like to be able to carry the larger pistol.

Welcome aboard texag. Glad you finally threw a shaddow across the board. You 2 young fellows choose a quality holster that covers the trigger on the G & wear a loose shirt. Leave the gun alone on your hip & quit worrying. Need evidence that the worry is far more than any reality of getting caught illegally printing: How many folks do you know that have had to answer to a LEO? Buy a good holster, cover it loosly, leave it alone & all will be fine.

If you are unsure than just rent a G19 there. Make sure you can qualify with it PRIOR to the test. It's not hard, but make sure you can do it.

Shouldn't need a one on one class. Pay attention and ask questions. If you're still confused ask them here.

I have to agree with Nick in regards to the trigger block. I think those are a bad idea for the same reasons. I have the same argument for carrying a gun without a round in the chamber.

KISS is sound advice....I don't want something blocking my trigger if I need to pull it

If you are going to purchase a Glock (I carry one everyday and love it), carry it properly holstered, racked and unloaded for a day at home while you are waiting for your license. Mow the lawn, do some jumping jacks, push ups, play with the dog and draw it in front of a mirror...At the end of the day if the trigger has been properly covered by a quality holster, notice that the trigger has not been pulled....put your magazine in it and sleep well knowing you can safely carry a glock.

I carry one of my Glocks often using both the IWB & OWB carry positions and have ran thru many holsters some from $60.00 on up thru $130.00+ and it all boiles down to what is comfortable, practical, & tactical as I carry 24/7. So whatever holster you choose just train the way you carry and train often. Of course be happy with what you decide but I would buy a holster that is designed for your Glock and not some universal with the belt loop/belt clip/ piggyback mag pouch...etc, I would not find that practical carry. I also have went to 511 tactical line and use the vest for concealed carry and I love the design of it... provides lots of freedom

It's a stainless slide on the duo tone. There is a Bersa branded version of the same gun.
I like mine fine. It's had about 3 1/2 cases of 9mm through it. Not even a hiccup.
