I live in NW Austin near Braker & Metric. I'd be glad to show you how I reload my .45's. I use a Lee Turret and also have 2 Lee single presses available, too. Unfortunately I will be at work (in Louisiana) that weekend. Coincidentally, that's also why I haven't been able to take a CHL class yet. I've been at work for every class that I could find.

I would try to get with 06nop whenever both of you can schedule it.

Read the ABC's of Reloading, look over some manuals, then meet up with your mentor. There are certain things you simply need to be guided through; you're wise to seek out a mentor.

I bought the Single Stage Lee Anniversary Kit. It was under $100 when I bought it at the time. Separately, I had to purchase the calipers, loading blocks, carbide dies, tumbler, and (of course) consumable materials (primers, powder, bullets, and tumbling media). A kind soul and mentor on here even gave me a ton of .45 brass. (Non-reloaders at the range will often give you their used brass if you ask nicely.)
