The shooter, Luke Sanchez, walked this week. A judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence to file a charge of murder or manslaughter.

It seems half the people in town are related either to Mr. Sanchez or the deceased (or both), and some bad blood is brewing.

This incident goes to show that when you try to do what seems like the right thing at the time, the system may not be on your side, and you are basically on your own.

I don't know if Arizona law will allow a charge of aggravated assault or a lesser offense to be filed.
