That's been a good website for me to visualize ballistics. Proper and thorough training is a given, for ANY chosen firearm...although I can't say IDPA over one or the other...kinda like the whole NAUI - PADI diver argument...

Ammo is a non issue. Even in this hoarding madness, I have been able to find plenty of 10mm ammo and at very reasonable prices. There is something to be said for having a non popular caliber in times like these.

But like I always say, be prepared BEFORE there is a problem and you will be just fine.

I dunno...this is page 1 of 2...I think I'll stick with the .357/.40/.45...
