Sonny's Place in Galveston has an "Artery Clogger" on the menu. It's a 1/2 lb burger, and trimmings. It's a beast, but nothing compared to these monstrosities.
I have to plug Sonny's. When I moved down here, my family still in OKC, they took me in and made me feel welcome. Great people, great place.
It's not fast food, it's hand-crafted food.

there's a little place in Tomball called "Mels Diner" that makes a burger similar to that .
all i remember is that it has a pound of bacon on it .
if you finish it in an hour , you get your name on the wall .
as a side note Lyle Lovett is a frequent customer .
I have heard of this place. I have yet to make it there though.
Now you make me want to go there _right now_...

The world's largest hamburger (currently): Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in PA. 2, 3, & 6 burger challenges. Yes, there are bigger burgers (Denny's also has a 15, 50 and a 100lb burger) but they are either one-shots for a record or not meant for one person. The 2, 3 & 6 lbs burgers must be consumed in 1, 1 1/2, or 3 hours to meet the challenge. Oh, yeah, that's burger weight. With the bun and all the fixings the 6 pounder is 11 lbs.

Now here's the kicker. The first person to complete the 6lb challenge was a 120lb coed.

The Hamdog:
"A ham dog is a hotdog that is wrapped in ground beef then deep fried. They then place it on a hoggie roll, top it with chili, grilled onions, and a fried egg.
(They forgot to mention the bacon.)
