Hi Brandon, welcome to the forum!

The focal point for Texas firearms information and discussions

Brandon, when you submitted your application, did you send in any supporting documentation in your packet to verify your NAI heritage? If not, I'd suggest calling DPS CHL bureau, and ask to speak to a technician who is familiar with these matters. I guarantee you it won't be the first person who answers the phone, as they are processors. When processors are not familiar with an issue such as this, they forward your file to a "technician" to sort out the issue. If I were in your situation, I would insist on speaking to a technician about this.brandonbailey1 wrote:Collin 75070
Im worried about my paperwork, I put down American Indian. I didnt get my AI card until I was 15 (now 40). Im sure the rest of my birth records..ect show me a a white male. I even think my FBI fingerprint card when I was a Sheriff show me as a white male. This my be the hickup that delays mine. Wait and see....
Thanks for the welcome.
Good for you! It seems like you have covered your bases quite well. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.brandonbailey1 wrote:Yes, I did send copies of my cards along w DL with my packet. The cards show my number, tribe, blood, photo...ect. One was issued by tribe the other is from the government.
I was looking at stats for 2008 (2007-2008) not many applicants in this catergory. My zip has high CHL holder acceptance rate w no suspensions or revokes that I could find. Maybe this is a good thing.

That's the temptation (check it and keep hitting refresh, yelling at the screen "HURRY UP!"), but I'm thinking a few more days. ;)USA1 wrote:define "a little while"ronzorelli wrote:I'm going to wait a little while before I check status online.
to me that means a few minutes

That was easy
You can always add 15,30,45 after the hour alsojoe817 wrote:I'm disciplining myself to check only 3 times per day. 8am; 4pm and midnight.
And in between those times 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm 5pm, 7pm, 9pm.![]()
I think I've covered my bases pretty well....but what happens in those off hours? Maybe I need to check those times too. Phew. This is getting complicated.![]()
