In this instance that we are discussing carrying loaded doesn't make it any more legal.
Technically loaded or unloaded doesn't make any difference except for Childrens access to a gun and hunting regulations.

However The loaded and unloaded conditions may make a difference as mitigated circumstances if someone is charged with unlawful carry.

Fer instnace some is carrying in their car. and breaks a law that is more serious than a class C.The LEO finds the gun new in box unloaded. The LEO, judges, and untimatly the Jury may give some concideratation of the gun being unloaded.

While we are clarifying things...is there a legal limit to how many handguns you can conceal on you? I mean strictly speaking it is a concealed hunGUN license not a Concealed handGUNS license so I was just mulling on the legal ramifications of multiple gun carrying.

Currently I carry two guns and want to know if that is legal or if I am on dodgy ground (Oh and Yes, I do have current, valid CHL )

the law does not limit the number of guns you can carry .

interesting story ...
during my class , a LEO was telling a story of pulling someone over for a traffic violation .
the CHL holder had 17 guns . some on his person and some in the vehicle .

even though this wasn't illegal , the LEO was not happy about it .
he gave the guy a ticket for the traffic violation and told him he didn't want to see him in his county again .

Some states, like NM, do limit your carry to one concealed firearm. Other states, like Texas, allow you to carry however many you want as long as you can keep them all properly concealed.

And as far as church carry goes, mine attends church with me religiously.
