My favorite range for indoors.

I'm from Spring, at least a 40 minute drive for me.

I took my CHL class at this location. The range was very clean and well-lit, and the ventilation was excellent, even with a whole line of us simultaneously lighting up our targets. The bullet-proof glass between the fining line and the "waiting room" is a nice touch. There is lots of airport-style seating, a TV, and a huge table (actually a pool table with a tabletop on it) to prep yourself before going onto the line. The staff was friendly, although I didn't talk to them much.

The classroom in the same building is much nicer than I expected (especially for a gun range!). In all, it is definitely the nicest indoor range I've been to, and I absolutely will be back.

That reminds me of this classic scene from the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy:

Undoubtedly one of the funniest movie series I've ever seen!

No! Thankfully it went away after a week. But I DID get some interrogation from my wife when I got home! She said it was a hickey! Her doubts went away the next day when the scab started forming. It got stuck! And I couldn't remove it! Ouch!

I called as well and owner said they will allow shotguns (lead free shells only) which is quite good . Only a few indoor range s allow this.

Having read such good things about the range and meeting Jim Hogue at Collectors Firearms this afternoon, I stopped by Marksman range today after work. Like Toadstone wrote previously, the place is clean, well lit, nicely ventilated and hosted by friendly folks. I have to say, this is now my favorite range.

Sliverbear, That sounds like a gas. I have an immiment birth this time. Our fifth grand daughter due 5/6 (most likely sooner). I am in Grand Prairie as I write doing some nursery work, Ha! Will post or PM when my schedule is free. That goes for you too SQL Geek. Of course you don't have to wait on me!

Congrats on upcoming grand daughter - Prayers that all goes well!

We might want to kick around some dates and times to see what works best for all. With my work and family schedule, I'm thinking Friday nights through the weekends works best. I think there a few other trouble makers around here we could round up as well.

Hey! I ressemble that remark! (but not as much as a certain other person or two!)

My wife and I are so cheap we usually go on Mondays when ladies shoot for free. Heck I am so cheap I even take my own targets now too.

Jim Hogue is my role model, Vietnam Veteran, Retired Houston Firefighter, teaches a hell of a CHL class.
