Well, I was looking at the Kinny's link again and I decided I need more than one. And Kinny, I really like the pic of Mr. Springfield and Miss Cold Steel on a date!! If they have kids, would it be a 1911 carbine with a bayonet? I don't even have my first 1911 and I already know I need more than one. You guys have some really nice hardware. I missed some of those the first time I looked at that thread. One more thing. Has anyone found a brand or model to stay away from. You know, something that just doesn't work no matter what ammo you feed it or how much you try to adjust it.

It's prononced Molon Labe' (mo lon la bay) It means "come and take it."
Famous saying from a standoff. (france?)

Take away the second first, and the first is gone in a second.

Hmmmm. That would be interesting to see. lol.
As far as brands go, try to stay with the main brand. Springfield, Colt, Para, Kimber, Rock River Arms, STI, Wilson Combat, Les Baer to name a few.

There are also other ones out there such as Rock Island Arms, and Norinco that are proven to be reliable, and they are excellent specimens for custom guns.

I think it was the Greeks and Phonecians(sp?). Something about a mountain pass and the greeks was gettin their tails handed to them. The Greeks told the Phonecians to hand over their weapons and they responded with the famous reply.

Here ya go guys. It was Greece and Persia at the Battle of Thermopylae. Apparently the Persians (led by Xerxes) offered to spare the lives of the Greeks (led by King Leonidas), if they would lay down their weapons. This was their response. Kinda like an ancient Alamo standoff!

There is also a link from this page for more info on the actual battle.

Hat

Post by res1b3uq »

Actually, I got my hat from here----https://www.fbmginc.com/index.php?optio ... 4&Itemid=1 I kind of associate it with a gentleman who said "from my cold dead hand". I figure they mean about the same thing.

Here's the link about "Come and take it" days at Gonzales, Texas. Part of our history.

One of the people whom, I believe, designed the hat also periodically does runs of shirts. He is a moderator over at http://www.thehighroad.com. He goes by Correia.
