If I was in your shoes I think I would purchase a vest and keep the piece in the car until you can have a CHL. There are many vendors who will sell you body armor if you have a clean record, and pass a basic background check.

The kind of business that sends someone who is too young to buy a beer out on delivery with that kind of cash is a business that I am thankful to know nothing about. Junior accountant for who exactly, Tony Soprano?

Don't deposits of 6 figures in cash usually get transported in the hidden
panels of automobiles in black trash bags?
I'm just sayin...

for the previous posts, bank transfers happen in the speed in which the bank processes them. i deal with them on a daily basis no illegal activities involved in what i do. when a bank calls and says you processed a payroll for xxxxx amount and only have xxx amount in the account you do what you have to to make sure your clients dont get charged over draft fees therefor resulting in your firms reputation taking a hit. when you have to tranfer for one account in one bank to another account that is held in a seperate bank its not as easy or as fast as it seems from bank to bank when your telling one of the banking institutions to hold off on sending the transaction through. therefore as i said on multiple cases i have carried large sums of money from bank to bank and no an armored car service is by appointment and not very speedy when your asking for the bank holding your payroll account to hold off until you can get a enough money into this account. Now as i said before thank you for your help i have spoken with enough KNOWLEGABLE people about my topic and as far as the rest of you other people two sense why dont you focus on your own job/carreer and not try to express your useless opinions on what you THINK other people job descriptions involve. Thank your for your assistance.

EXACTLY!!! Doesn't sound like an Accounting Firm that I want ot have anything to do with. Payroll is pretty consistant. That means that is can be reasonably predicted, allowing a company to be prepared for it...

I think so too. Electronic transfers - particularly of that size - can be handled without ever having to touch the cash. I've done it myself, and I know it to be true. Banks
love servicing client needs when the sums involved are large enough. No
sane businessman would entrust hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash (six figures) to a junior accountant of minority age — unless he were laundering money, or something like that.
The whole thing sounds hinkey to me. Besides which, I would never give an underage person advice I wouldn't give to my own son — who is also underage still. And I would
definitely not counsel my underage son to carry a concealed handgun,
probably illegally, to protect his
employer's money. Let's say that he gets stopped by dah po-po on the way to the bank, and the pistol gets discovered in his possession. Most likely, he's
going to get arrested, and the legality of the matter will get sorted out by lawyers later. So let's review: Who gets arrested... ...the employer whose money is being protected, or the minor who is in possibly illegal possession of a firearm? Who has to pay the lawyers... ...the employer whose money is being protected, or the minor who is in possibly illegal possession of a firearm? Who gets the felony conviction on his record (preventing him from ever obtaining a CHL down the road)... ...the employer whose money is being protected, or the minor who is in possibly illegal possession of a firearm?
In the meantime, what happens when a minor is busted with a gun and hundreds of thousands in cash?
IT GETS SEIZED!!! ...because da po-po know from experience that means that
someone is dealing in crack, and it ain't
them.
This doesn't pass the smell test, and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

If the guy is jerking our collective chain, it's his problem.
A 20-year-old is not a minor. Minors are under 18.
Carrying a weapon illegally is a misdemeanor in Texas except in certain locations such as schools and places that sell alcoholic beverages.

When a 20 year old neophyte lectures an older and more experienced audience about their lack of knowledge (just because they have given the
younger,
less knowledgeable,
less experienced neophyte the benefit of their experience); when that same neophyte doesn't know how to use punctuation; and when that same neophyte advises the older, more experienced audience to focus on their own career track and not make assumptions about the legality of what
he does, I am disinclined to give him another minute of serious consideration.
Dude, you didn't want
knowledge, you wanted
affirmation. If you were as smart as you think you are, you would have asked a lawyer this question instead of going onto a publicly viewed Internet site, presupposing that what you want to do just
might possibly be illegal (or you wouldn't have been here asking the question), and fishing for the answer you wanted to hear. But that's cool. The great thing about prison is that you get 3 meals a day, no rent, cable TV, and for a young guy like you, all the "companionship" you could ever ask for. Have fun with that. I hope it works out well for you.
This is a waste of time.

Jim, even if it's only a misdemeanor (class A, or B?), it's still possibly a crime, and I wouldn't advise my own (19 year old) son to risk breaking the law without knowing for certain one way or the other, and without consulting an attorney, to take that risk. And whether the age of majority in Texas is 18 or 21, age is still at the core of whether or not the OP's possession of a firearm is legal. I strongly believe that giving this young man advice to go ahead and carry any kind of weapon is irresponsible when A) age is a possible issue; and B) something stinks about his employer's business practices.
It's not just that I think it is wrong, it's also that I don't think it best serves the interests of this board. Others are, or course, free to disagree.

UCW is a class A misdemeanor except, as I said, in alcohol establishment and places listed in PC 46.03.
Other than that, I've had my say.

Possession of a handgun by an ADULT (over 18) under 21 is not a crime. Carrying one without a CHL or without meeting terms of MPA or other exemptions is a crime, just like for over 21. In fact, Texas allows active duty/former military under 21 to obtain a CHL. MPA covers adults under 21. 18 is the age of majority in Texas. 21 year old drinking age is irrelevant.
Still think the OP either works for a nut job or is pulling our chain. I can wire money from my bank account with a phone call or fax and good funds are available faster than I could drive over to a local bank and have them count the money.

i think you're pay roll account not having enough money in it is a bigger problem then carrying a gun while under 21 years old.
i'd find a new place to work. and get some Fox 5.3 OC
