Thanks all.

There is certainly no question about it...there is a tremendous amount of information available through the forum. As mentioned, I have been "lurking" and reading for about month or so...and it seems that I find a "nugget" of information almost every day.

In fact...one of the latest items I came across, was a discussion around making your own kydex holsters. I thought that was very intriguing...so, I ordered some kydex on Friday...assembled a few required items (camp foam, clamps, etc.)...with intent to give this activity a whirl.

Just some really cool stuff out here! :txflag:

Even though my renewal was a couple of years ago, during off peak times it seems, I have no idea how long it took from the time I sent the packet in until I received my license. I didn't even check on it once and it was a cool surprise when it arrived in my mail box.

Welcome to the forum sir. We have both gun nuts and gun enthusiasts here!

If you go to "User Control Panel" you can add your hometown so that it shows up on
each of your posts, allowing your neighbors to know where you are.

You can also add a "Signature" of up to 300 characters. This will be at the bottom
of each of your posts, and is appended even to older posts you have made.

What handgun(s) do you own, and what will you carry once your plastic arrives?

I will have to break out the camera and get a few pictures up :biggrinjester:

To be honest...I haven't settled on a "primary" carry yet. I have picked up a couple Ruger LCRs...one will be my back-up, the other is for my wife (home defense).

I have been tossing around the idea of a Glock or Sig for my primary carry...either a G26 or Sig P239.

Oh well...I do have some time to figure it out...most likely a few weeks from getting plastic anyhow ;-)

Wullllll Matrix, you say Glock or Sig, but your avatar shouts 1911. You know what? Either one of those 3 are excellent choices if you can get away with concealing those monsters! "rlol"

And oh boy do you have a mission in front of you! Just when you've figure out on what pistol you're gonna choose, you THEN need to decide on one of the bazillion conceal holsters out there for you to carry it in. Ugghhh. I don' envy ya. I only have 2 guns, and I'm having a whale of a time on choosing. Good luck to ya! :cheers2:

Eeekkkkk!!! I use the brown paper bag for my favorite thing to drink!

JUST KIDDING!!!!!

Yes, and as we've discussed I've narrowed down the holsters to 3 or 4. Gosh I sure like that Bullard holster! Or the Hume...Or the Ross..or..or..or. Oh gosh. Do women have this hard a time when looking for handbags? "rlol" :smilelol5:

Somehow, I don't think so. My wife easily has 3-4 times the number of holsters I have. The biggest difference may be that the women have purses to go with different outfits based on color and style, while we only have a couple different holsters we use on a regular basis based on style and no regard for color since they are concealed. Sure we have several in the spare drawer, but those are the one's that have been ruled out in favor of a better or more comfortable one.
