I must admit that I perceived Bush's decisiveness as him being arrogant but Obama has shown me the error in my ways. I dont see how anyone that loves freedom, smaller government, less tax and expects a person to be of honorable charcter, can support Obama. He is the direct opposite.
Now I know Bush did not meet all this criteria either but him and every other president before Obama were light years closer to meeting it than Obama will ever be.
I want one Obama supporter to tell me how they can accept or justify Bill Ayres, Jerimiah wright, van Jones and all of his other criminal/communist/socialist, america & freedom hating cronies. Most of them should be in jail not in office.
Obama=massive taxes, less freedom, huge government.

We slowly had the bar lowered over 8 years. I think that's how we came to accept certain things. I don't think Obama was ever compared to perfection, he was compared to Bush.

Mr. Bush looks confused as usual. What is the point?

Seems to me now that, upon comparison, Bush was mostly a threat to the rest of the world not america and Obama is a threat to america not the rest of the world.

Not perfect but better than Bush. Bush eroded personal liberties by taking advantage of fear. This was on-going. That was pure manipulation. Obama has a tough job and is working on it. Eleven months into it is a little early to tell how he will end up.

Wow. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. At least Obama does not have a premise of support of liberty, so when he erodes your liberty by taking advantage of fear, he does so by the party line rather than counter to his base.
You have no more liberty when you are forced to buy health insurance. You have no more liberty when you are forced (as a tax payer) to bail out huge, unprofitable businesses that are politically well-connected. I presume you think it is greater liberty to not be able to run your business due to the Cap'n Trade deal. Of course, it is fear which is used as the lever by which all of these erosions of liberty may be instituted, and it does not matter which stripe of politician does it.
Just because economic liberty is not among the liberties you value does not mean it is not a liberty being eroded.

Please tell me how, as american, you can justify obama surrounding himself with the Bill Ayres, Jeramiah Wright (GOD DAMN AMERICA!) Van Jones, that susteen guy, all just to name a few. Please let me know how you can justify them.
Are you from Chicago, do you have or at least usually have a job (you know, a productive and working individual)? I ask this because to me the only AMERICANS that could like/support Obama would be the people that feel they deserve entitlements or the union heads and other Obama cronies that stand benefit monetarily from all of this. The monetarily part is
OUR tax dollars being given away like it really grows on trees. They (the liberals) are so worried about us using up our natural resources and give not a thought to extinguishing our financial resources. All free america loving people must stand up and stop this while all of the america haters just watch us go down the tubes while slobbering and laughing at us the whole way.

OK folks, this is a warning. We will NOT have flame-wars here. Discuss your differences in a civil manner with no personal attacks or the thread will be locked.

What, is that so hard to do? I just want more freedom, more liberties, less taxation, less government, more gg and less bg. Seems pretty logical to a freedom loving, law abiding person to me. Speaking of law abiding thats becoming really hard to be with all of the laws they keep passing without taking into account our thoughts. We have just a few mandating what the masses can and cant do.
This is coming down to two sides, freedom on this side and much less freedom on that side. I'm on this side.
Hey, I'm pretty proud of myself for not typing one expletive in all of this talk about Obama. Really hard to talk about him and not cuss.

I hear Obama, I think chocolate cake!
I hear native-born son, I think Tex Mex!
I hear best for America, I think Chips and Queso!
I hear bowing, I think Barbeque!
Some people say I have a one track mind…
I like this one better
and this is epic. Irrespective of politics, I want Cheney back just for this:
