A somewhat interesting treatise, but almost as one sided as he claims the other side was. I grew up with Pearl Harbor and the war as family history and involvement. My boss for many years was a Pearl Harbor survivor, only 20 years my senior.
My father was a Lieutenant in the US Army in 1940 and was sent to England on duty, albeit in civilian clothes - we were involved in the war even if it hadn't been declared.
My grandfather was a Major and then Lt. Colonel in the Pacific right before the war, knew Short and Kimmel (and BTW was of the opinion that they were scapegoats) and was heavily involved in the preparations for war with Japan - we were anticipating war.
But Pearl Harbor was a sneak attack, and the attacks elsewhere in the Pacific that followed were a natural by product and even anticipated, just not quite so soon.

Will you please explain your reasons? Thank you.
I believe that your posts on this and many subjects merit some counterpoint.

an explanation would be great!
If its for the simple fact that you do not like my views and my posts as you have implied above I find that to be in very poor taste as this thread is to Honor and Remember those who fought and those who perished during the horrible attacks at Pearl Harbor. Not to bicker and argue with other forum members!

XD, 'ol buddy,
There are a great many people (past and present) who believe (believed) FDR, et al, provoked the attackers in order to put the nation back on its feet thus ending the depression. There are also more than a few who believe neither John Wilkes Booth nor Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. In all three events, history was made and the world; as we knew it, was changed.
Me? I dunno'.

A friend of mine used to work as a civilian doing base security
on Hawaiian military installations. He carried an M9 Beretta while
on the job.
One day some Japanese tourists arrived in a rental car, but at the wrong place
to view the USS Arizona.
The Japanese driver asked "Well, where is the USS Arizona?"
One of the wiseguy guards told him "It's right where you left it!"
The Japanese tourists understood English and were not pleased at the comment,
but were sent on down the road towards the correct site.

There are two sides to each story..somewhere in the middle resides the truth..
